After our change to == 0, the load test ran for over 20 hours with no problems!
Just to be aligned we compiled the latest from the 5.4 branch and started running the test again. So far, 3h+ in with no problems. I think we are safe to say the deadlock is not happening anymore.

Also may I ask when is it expected the next 5.4 release?
