I think your improvements made it to the kamailio version which now resides in sip-router/modules_k/ratelimit. Please try to see if it contains everything that you need. If yes then we can adopt the kamailio version of the module and junk the ser version (and move the module from modules_k to modules directory).
yes, the kamailio version includes our changes and actually more. It should be then pretty safe to drop the ser version if the original owner won't complain. I guess the original functionality is still usable from there anyway.
There might be problems if the ratelimit module sends replies internally - because then it either have to use K's sl or ser's sl module.
ratelimit sends replies internally. It would make sense to have a single sl module (just like tm). There are many modules that requires sl and all of them would benefit from having a single sl module.
