No, I will wait with such changes, but it probably won't be included
in the release.
I guess I will mark these obsolete modules in README-MODULES as
obsolete, deprecated, only for backwards compatibility or something...

fifo
This module is not needed anymore, it is in the repository for
historic reasons and we can remove it. The ctl module replaces the
fifo module.
