This module is not needed anymore, it is in the repository for historic reasons and we can remove it. The ctl module replaces the fifo module.

No, I will wait with such changes, but it probably won't be included in the release.
I guess I will mark these obsolete modules in README-MODULES as obsolete, deprecated, only for backwards compatibility or something...
