@henningw Hello,
It is also reproducible for the younger branches (5.8 and 6.0) as the tm module has never covered this behaviour.
It seems to me, user-defined wt_timer (wait_timeout) is a different issue, as it is not being propagated somewhere from here

The PR above proposes a solution for the response issue. I was tested at the testbed with the expected results.
