Hello,
the upgrade of the system went pretty smooth for most of the services
(e.g., website, wiki), but migration of the mailing lists from mailman 2
(mm2) to mailman 3 (mm3) proved to be a very lengthy process.
Practically mm3 is more or less a completely different
application/toolkit than mm2. While there are some tools to help a bit
with migration, proper configuration to preserve old options and
components integration are rather complex.
As users and devel mailing lists archives have messages more or less
from the start of the project in 2001/2002, the archives migration
(re-import) needed quite some time as well. Not all messages could be
imported, mm3 complained from time to time, but the old mm2 archives are
still available on the web at:
-
https://lists.kamailio.org/pipermail/
They will be kept because they are indexed by search engines and
referenced from different places.
New mm3 mailing lists are available at:
-
https://lists.kamailio.org/mailman3/postorius/lists/
Presentation of archives by mm3 is forum-style:
-
https://lists.kamailio.org/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/sr-users@lists.kamailio…
There will be more work to tune the mailing lists system, so expect
short periods of downtime from time to time
kamailio.org web pages will be updated soon to reflect these changes.
Cheers,
Daniel

Hello,
informing that the maintenance work will start in about 10min. I will
notify again when everything should be back. Meanwhile expect periods of
downtime for website and mailing lists.

Hello,
not that tomorrow, Dec 14, 2022 starting after 09:00UTC (10:00Berlin),
is planned some maintenance work on
kamailio.org server. It will be
unavailable from time to time, hopefully not for long time.
Affected services:
- web site
- mailing lists
- wiki site (alternative use the github repo:
https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio-wiki)
- html version of modules' documentation (text variant README is every
module folder of git clones or on
github.org repository)
Short notifications will be sent when it starts and ends.
Cheers,
Daniel
