Hi,
i've just noticed the following: The PUA-Docs state, that you can either use the memory (0) or the database (2): http://kamailio.org/docs/modules/devel/modules_k/pua.html#id2548705
The module, however, demands to define a valid database, to which the module even connects even though it should use just the memory....
In the code, i found no reference, where the database is used when in "memory-mode".
Is there any particular reason for this?
Thanks, Carsten
Hi,
The original mode of operation (before DB only was added) for PUA and RLS was to use in-memory storage that is periodically backed-up to a database. This allows the memory contents to be restored from the database if Kamailio is restarted. This behaviour has been preserved as mode 0.
There is no memory only (no database at all) mode of operation in PUA or RLS.
Regards,
Peter
