Hi, I've been testing ser for the past few days and I ran into a little problem with search_append() and replace(). I have a string let's say: some_text If I do search_append("some_", "more_"); I get some_more_text which is great. However if I try to do a replace("some_more_text", "no_text'); it fails. Is this a known issue? Are there any workarounds? I have tried to verify the problem with the current CVS but I couldn't get it to start because all the modules that depend on a db fail to initialize. Thank you, Alex.

Let me explain again, when a user registers all the contact information is stored into memory from where ser takes it for any further processing. Also, it is stored into table location of the database __only if you choose__ so in your config file -- by setting db_mode parameter of usrloc module to the value 1 or 2. This duplication, to database, helps when you, for some reasons -- let's say you have changed something in the config file, need to restart ser. In that moment, ser reloads all information about registered users prior the restart moment from database, so those users don't need to re-register. Again, you don't need to restart ser unless you modified the config file. Why I asked if you had restarted ser ... because in this case the users contact information would have been loaded from database and if dbtext wasn't working properly then some data might be damaged and some users were not able to be contacted. [Serusers] No sound between two end points

Morning all, I currently have SER and SERWEB up and running, and it's working great. Yesterday when I was using it, I was able to call between my softphone on my Winders box to my Asterisk box, and it worked fine. Today I am able to connect in both directions, but I don't get any sound. The Winders box has no firewall up right now to block the RTP port transmission, and I know the Asterisk box is fine as I am able to talk to other people through it. I don't remember changing anything between when it was working, and when it was not working, other than restarting SER as my * box would not register with it for some reason. Restarting SER fixed the registry problem, but now I have no sounds. Any idea's of where I can look to sort out this problem would be appreciated. Also, I am running SER v 0.8.11 on RH9, installed via RPM. Try "siproxd" http://sourceforge.net/projects/siproxd/ Siproxd is an proxy/masquerading daemon for the SIP protocol. It handles registrations of SIP clients on a private IP network and performs rewriting of the SIP message bodies to make SIP connections possible via a masquerading firewall. It allows SIP clients (like kphone, linphone) to work behind an IP masquerading firewall or router. I tried b2bua from Vocal - but I think it does not support NAT traversal yet. Hello! I want to realize the following setup: [serUser]<----------------------------------->[Nat]<----------------------------------->[UA] (private network) (public network) Can I do this using a B2BUA, and does somebody already do that? Whether not, do I have to modifiy something in my ser configuration to allow the UA on the public network to reach the serUser on the private network? Alex
