Like I said, I used: exclude_modules="" modules --no errors, ser is
running but I don't see any mysql.so under modules, I thought that it
wouldn't matter since the mysql's binaries are already installed but
when I tried to include the very first line: loadmodule
"/usr/local/lib/ser/modules/mysql.so" then the configuration complains.
If I am missing something please let me know.

Did the module compile without errors ? Did you run make install ?

I'm having a small problem with a phone registration at a customer's
site. The majority of the phones register with no problem. The ones
that register correctly are Snom 200s, while the one I'm having problems
with is a Cisco. The registration request I see in my ngrep log from
the Cisco is:
REGISTER sip:SIP000BBEF2DF4C SIP/2.0..Via: SIP/2.0/UDP

REGISTER..Contact: <sip:Line1@172.21.20.200:5060>..Expires:
3600..Content-Length: 0....
While a Snom's request looks like this:
REGISTER sip:172.21.30.50 SIP/2.0..Via: SIP/2.0/UDP
172.21.20.36:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-zqvjm58v73fd;rport..Max-Forwards:

There's never a response of any kind from the SER proxy to the Cisco's
request. I noticed that the Cisco doesn't enlcose the From or To
addresses in <>'s, while the Snom and other SIP devices at the location
do, but I'm not sure that's the problem.
Ideas?

Yes, I have mysql client libraries installed. I am compiling from the
sources and under /usr/local/lib/ser/modules is not showing up.
Thanks.

The default configuration file that is included in the distribution
works with mysql, you just need to uncomment couple of lines in the
file, the comments in the file tell you which lines to uncomment.

Could you please point me how to include the mysql.so, I have installed
8.11 and mysql and also could you attach a working ser.cfg for mysql?
Thanks,
Marcelo.
Hello,
your problem is clearly caused by an improper version of Ser's vm module.
I would suggest that you download the last CVS version of this module and
try it again.
Module's download address:
http://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ser/sip_router/modules/vm/vm.tar.g
z?tarball=1
Then, unpack this package in Ser's module directory (ser/modules) and
recompile Ser.
You should also download the last CVS version of Sems.
If you updates your Sems version, should you always update Ser also.
Regards,
Raphael.

I'm playing with Ser in a lab environment and have it running as a bare
bones implementation. Can someone refer me to an implementation guide
that might provide an uninformed person some hints on installing and using
important plugins, typical configs, etc?
I'd like to interface with one/two representative commerical IP phones,
maybe a Cisco router voice card, possibly an open source voice mail system,
and a few other items to increase my knowledge/exerience with voice-over
and the system. (Lots of experience in the POTS and protocol analysis areas
but none with Ser, plugins, or voice-over.) Any suggestions for
hardware/software to try, key web sites, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,all,
Has anyone connect KPhone located behind NAT
successfully to SER? Thanks for help.

Hi, jiri,
Would you tell me which module implements ENUM service
in SER 0.8.10? I have MyDNS to support NAPTR query. It
is better if you would point out the source file name.
Thanks for help.
