Hi,
When i reboot the pc ser does not stop while shutdown.
Also when i run the /etc/rc.d/init.d/ser restart, i get
Stopping ser: Failed
Starting ser: OK.
Why is ser not stopping?
Is it a problem?
Please help.
Thanks,
Annie
No, keeping two sers live on the same db will cause one ser to reset
the registrations sent to the other as ser mems are not in sync with
each other.
But you can use Heartbeat and MySQL replication ta have a hot/standby
cluster. Only one ser may be active at any given time and heartbeat
does the trick.

Quick Question. Can I put SER onto multiple servers with load
balancing and share the userloc tables between the servers (ie. With
MySQL or Postgres SQL)
Is this possible? Or does one SER instance only recognize registrations
for phones that register with that particular instance/daemon?
Thanks!
Can you try use these two SIP accounts (one for each NAT) to see if I
can reproduce this behavior?
SIP address: test1(a)ag-projects.com
Display name: Andrzej test1
Username: test1
Password: test1
Domain/Realm: ag-projects.com
SIP Proxy: sip.dns-hosting.info
Outbound Proxy: sip.dns-hosting.info
SIP address: test2(a)ag-projects.com
Display name: Andrzej test2
Username: test2
Password: test2
Domain/Realm: ag-projects.com
SIP Proxy: sip.dns-hosting.info
Outbound Proxy: sip.dns-hosting.info
I may be able to debug SERMediaProxy for the uncaught exceptions.

It is possible to make call

When I try rtpproxy it doesn't work
When I try rtproxy from AG Projects i have

Everything works between clients behind this same NAT or
between client behind NAT and public client.
Maybe something is blocked on some NAT ?
Thanks

Hey, anybody had the problem that they get : Calling (Out INV) when
trying to call out trugh a cisco 7960 ?
Iv got 2 phones, with the same config. only diff, one between NAt and
one connected to the internet with nothing between.
the one that's behind NAT is working perfect. but the one thats got a
bare internet link gets the Calling (Out INV) error.
It does send a invite... so the other phone starts ringing.. but nothing
more.
I do get incoming on the phone.. and that works like a dream.

It is generally not possible for a SIP server to record a call because the audio streams do not necessarily go through the server. If you're running a Windows software SIP phone, a program called Total Recorder http://www.highcriteria.com/ will record a call, and it only costs 11 bucks. I'm sure there are other recording programs that will also work, but I've been very pleased with this one. It will also record streaming audio, etc. etc.

Hello,
Thanks to the list for your help. I can say that SER is running OK and
we are doing a lot of very interesting tests.
I have a question about contacts. As Jiri said to me, SER sends all
contacts in replies to REGISTER. This reply is a 200 OK and has so many
Contact fields as the user has in database.
The problem is that SIP clients like Windows Messenger doesn't care
about this Contact Fields. I know this isn't very important if you're
thinking of SIP Phones, but we are very interested in presence. We work
with SIP applications which need to know about user's contacts from
database.
So, I would like to know if someone has tested a SIP software that
works on this issue. We have looked at RFC 3261 about this, but there
isn't any comment.
Thank you very much
