I downloaded latest CVS of ser and I have this problem
When I try to add user with:
serctl add somebody password user@host
It asks me for password but after that this message goes:
error: 400; check if you use aliases in SER
Somebody can help me?

What is the difference between forward(uri:host, uri:port) and t_relay()?
I understand that t_relay() is supposed to be transaction based but I really
can't see a difference between the two.

When I add something in ser.cfg it gives me this - ERROR: bad config
file (2 errors). How can I determine where is the problem and to fix

I can not get radius authentication to work. I have run out of ideas and am
starting to get a bit frustrated. I was wondering whether someone could help
me out.
I am using:
SER 8.14 from CVS
Radiusclient ng 0.4.2 (tried 0.4.3 as well)
I have radiusclient.conf and servers configured.
I get the following error in messages:
rc_send_server: no reply from RADIUS server .
I have run tcpdump to verify but it doesent show any attempts to contact the
radius server.
Any ideas ?

Hello Everyone.
I have two questions to pose and/or points to raise:
Question 1
----------
I'm not 100% convinced that running a web server (ie, serweb) on a SIP proxy
(ie, ser) is a good idea.
Suppose someone were to have 500,000 users signed up for VoIP services and many
of them used serweb to manage things like speed dial numbers, etc, etc.
IMHO, the web stuff should be seperate from the SIP stuff. If the HTTP traffic
demands are 10 times greater than the SIP demands, how can one scale the SIP or
HTTP services independently of one another?
Aside from the ser FIFO requirements that serweb has, is there any reason this
cannot or should not be different physical servers?
Question 2

Has anyone ever suggested porting serweb to phpMVC which is the PHP port of the
Apache Jakarta Struts framework? I know the serweb appearance can be modified
using the <serweb>/templates/*tpl files, but would an MVC framework make more
sense?

I've just released new version of radiusclient. This is mostly bugfix
release, fixes the following issues:
o eliminated strsep() for better portability;
o maximum attribute length is no longer limited to 128 bytes;
o attribute-value parser now correctly generates SIP Digest attributes
from text description.
o attribute-value parser now allows `=' to be part of the value.
There is also one new utility called radiusclient, which accepts
attribute-value pairs as arguments, generates auth or acct request,
sends it to the Radius server and returns result as exit code.

I have a ser 0.8.12-tcp_nonb (i386/linux) that is running pretty
smooth, now I stumbled across a problem and I'm looking for some help.
How can I tell ser that invites coming to "whatever@ipaddress_of_the
server" are local request just like "whatever@domainname" or
"whatever(a)machinename.domainame" ?
I tried to add an
alias="ipaddress"
but it has not worked.
Any idea ?

hi;
I have couple of UA registered in my ser box. When they call each other I can see 1 start/stop accounting.
In the case : if the call not answered, the call will be redirected to astersik. but I canot see any log for new call to astersik
any suggestion

I can add a new user (to database - mysql) by typing
serctl ....
it wokrs fine.
Is there any way to add a user automaticly ? e.g. user registers via
website and her/his account should be also created in db.
is it possible?
I know that I can run a shell command form .php but I'm a little afraid
of doing this that way.
