[Serusers] Enum as location-database

Hi all, Just thought about adding a private enum-db to my system and use it as kind of location database in addition to the location-table in mysql. This would have the advantage that I could handle number suffices for a PBX behind an ISDN telephone adapter rather easily. Example: such an UAC is registered as 012345(a)1.2.3.4. Someone now calls 0123451000(a)my.domain, and enum resolves this to 0123451000(a)1.2.3.4 by applying a proper regexp. Now the problem is: how do I keep the enum database up to date? The enum module doesn't provide anything for that. The easy part is performing a DNS-update when someone successfully registers, by calling an external script. But how do you delete the entries from DNS when they for example expire? Or is enum not supposed to be used for that anyway? Cheers, Andy

[Serusers] From-Tag/Call-id not uniq?

Hi, according to the RFC: "When a tag is generated by a UA for insertion into a request or response, it MUST be globally unique and cryptographically random with at least 32 bits of randomness." But when looking at a sip logfile: egrep "^From:.*;tag=9d49295bb825210f" /var/log/term.log | wc -l 503 Question: Did i understood something wrong or is the recoccurance of the same tag-id and callid in different sessions voilating the rfc? Ive found loads of non-uniq call-ids as well as non uniq tags. How is a man supposed to make accounting (besides accounting on the PSTN GW/Voice Switch) when those to identifiers are not globally uniq? So far ive seen non uniq callids from Grandstream Products and non uniq tags from sipura adapters. :: arnd ::

[Serusers] Quick CVS help?

Hi, Need some assistance on using the CVS server to download sources. What I'm used to doing is setting my CVSROOT environment variable and simply using the command "cvs checkout modulename". For example, if am downloading the "tel" module from the server "192.168.1.9", I would do: bash$ export CVS_RSH=ssh bash$ export CVSROOT=:ext:beg_g@192.168.1.9:/usr/local/cvsroot bash$ cvs checkout tel beg_g(a)192.168.1.9's password: etc... Any information on using cvs.berlios.de? Any pointers? Gerald.
