Hello,
Just a quick feedback, it seems that Serweb doesn't really work with
PostgreSQL support. My SER installation is running smoothly , and any SIP
UAs can register with no problem.
I just installed the same Serweb with MySQL support and Serweb is running
with no problem.
Any comment from Serweb designers ? Could you please kindly tell me if
there is any known issue...
Thanks in advance,
SB
Hi,
Does anyone know and use a consumer router which works with NAT ping?
I did some research recently and can't find any. Basically if a phone is
behind NAT, we need to keep the NAT binding in the router active even if
there is no activity from the phone. NAT ping from ser (either rtpproxy or
mediaproxy) tries to ping the phone with an empty SIP packet. However this
inbound UDP packet can't always keep the NAT binding active because some NAT
firewalls ONLY refresh the timer based on outbound packets. So the result is
that the binding expires after a certain time even if NAT ping is enabled.
For example, Dlink falls in this category. It appears the timeout is 3
minutes and NAT ping won't make it active.
If anyone has a good experience with any consumer router, can you please let
share with us?
Thanks,
Richard
P.S. There is a good rfc draft discussing NAT binding behavior, if someone
is interested.
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-audet-nat-behave-00.txt.
Yes i did
The login details are
Username: admin
Password: heslo
That's according to the defaults
THEN!!!
The URL of serweb should be the name of the sip server.
I think that's very important coz i have a virtual host (of a different
name) but refuses to work! I'm always thrown out.
Thirdly..make sure that register_globals in turned on in the right file
(php.ini which apache uses)
That's what i think was bringing confusion..
I wish you the best SER.

Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
Version: 6.0.282 / Virus Database: 150 - Release Date: 9/25/2001
I fixed the problem. It was the weirdest thing: the broadcast address of the
interface went bananas, and displayed a really wrong IP. I had to put in a
new IP in there, and then go back to the old one before the broadcast
recalculated itself properly.

You have to mark transaction that you want to have in acc:
if( (method=="INVITE") || (method=="ACK") || (method=="BYE")) {
setflag(1);
}
And just in case:
############ ACC
loadmodule "/usr/local/lib/ser/modules/acc.so"
modparam("acc", "db_url", "sql://ser:XXX@localhost/ser")
modparam("acc", "db_flag", 1)
modparam("acc", "db_missed_flag", 1)
modparam("acc", "failed_transactions", 1)
############

Hi all,
I have been using SER for 6 months (together with Asterisk ) and every thing
seems to be fine ( voicemail, accounting, authentication, NAT and so on)
But I recently wanted to test the GSM authentication module but when I tried
to compile it and install it I failed .I am using version: ser
0.8.12-tcp_nonb (i386/linux) of SER on RH 9
Here is the error I get when I try to compile gsm module
auth_gsm.c:117: warning: passing arg 1 of `rc_conf_str' from incompatible
pointer type
auth_gsm.c:117: too few arguments to function `rc_conf_str'
auth_gsm.c:117: warning: passing arg 1 of `rc_read_dictionary' from
incompatible pointer type
auth_gsm.c:117: too few arguments to function `rc_read_dictionary'
make: *** [auth_gsm.o] Error 1
can anyone help me about this?
Thanks
