Hi
I am trying to get serweb showing the server stats, got the cron job
running, and send_daily... queries the db fine, however read_ser_moni
always shows the following error
error: DB Error: not found
it doesnt even seem to send a query to the DB judging by the mysql logs.
any clues
Iqbal
Hi,
I am very new to SER, I got a copy of SER installed on Fedora Core 3 Pentium
IV 1.6 PC, firewall disabled. No MySQL support yet.
I tried to call another user which is running XTen Light software on LAN
environment, it works. However, when I try to login the SER from remote
site, it does not allow me to login with login timeout error. I have also
open my broadband router port 5060, UDP and TCP.
What am I missing?
Thanks

Hi,
I have to side with Juha on this. A mandatory feature should be
released to the public. Moreover TLS IS a compelling need, for
everybody who cares, but with SER, we just cannot use it. Who would
not use TLS, was TLS available? Not all organizations have the money
or the will to spend money on a commercial license, eventhough it
would make them a lot of good.
And don't get me wrong, I understand why iptel choose this line of
"marketing" ... probably TLS is the most desired feature that free SER
lacks, so a lot of revenue comes from this side.
In any case, I would like to call all those developers out there with
some spare time who'd like to help implement TLS for free SER, myself
volunteering as of now (hope this email does not get censored :D ).
Drop me a line if you are interested.
Regards,

To be candid, the suggestion to release some of money-generating features
freely and begin working on some other money-generating feature is easier
said than executed.

I do not see that as feasible, at least not at short-term. The feature
is commercially available to those with a compelling need for it.

Hi all,
I'm curious to see if I can configure SER to reply to 302 redirect, rather
then my UAs? See the example below:

Proxy B

Good Day All,
I was wondering if anyone had a good repository where someone could go to
check out some decent configs for ser.
I am running ser-0.8.14 on a Linux system. I have a moderatly butchered
config working, passing voice and ringing of phones, from the sip.edu
cookbook site.
My ultimate goal is to get ser running with sip phones from behind a NAT
firewall and from the general internet. My problem is with the config I am
running, I am not sure where to stick the commands in to get things to work
correctly.
>From my research I want to be running the current addtional modules:
mysql - For DB access
vm - For Voicemail access, I have sems installed, but not sure if correctly,
it runs when I start it
acc - Accounting to the DB, I made the change in the Makeile to allow this
I also want to allow to put aliases on the accounts, which I have figured
out with serweb.
Any direction would be great as I am abit stuck on not quite sure on how I
should proceed.
TIA
Terry
