Actually I take that back re: the domain_reload error. I now get:
500 command 'domain_dump' not available
Feb 16 12:29:06 brak /usr/local/sbin/ser[4568]: ERROR: fifo_server:
command domain_dump is not available

Ok, I added the loadmod for domain, still same error. And no, no alias
lookup.. I upgraded 'over' ser0.8.14, but made sure all the files were
replaced properly.. thoughts?

Did you load domain module ? Do you have lookup("alises") somewhere in
your script ?

Ah k, I checked out the cvsroot of ser and everything is dated months
ago. Is there something I'm missing? :-).. Also ser "stable" is still at
0.9.0 right?

Ser is still being actively developed. If you're doing in-house
development on ser, I suggest you join the serdev mailing list so that
you can keep up on what's going on with other ser developments.
Jamey
I still get errors, our sip provider requires a + anyway :-)
I seem to get errors no matter what commands I run. Here's the latest
trying to add a "domain".
./serctl domain add blah.blah.net
500 command 'domain_reload' not available
Feb 16 09:43:36 brak /usr/local/sbin/ser[4315]: ERROR: fifo_server:
command domain_reload is not available
Is there something that has to be done with the fifo_server before doing
all this?
ser *is* running
[serctl]
SER_FIFO=/tmp/ser_fifo
[ser.cfg]
fifo="/tmp/ser_fifo"

Hi all,
i wanna offer VoIP SIP service to uor customers. We have a SER server
(working) behind a NAT router (BINTEC) and i have forwarded all UDP traffic
to my SER server. I have tested it and registrations work but we are unable
to talk togheter. My questions is: there's problems with RTP in this case ?
Thanks, Oz

Hi,
I don't know if I understand it correctly, on the linksys pap2 there's a
configuration:
Proxy: <-- I think this means the SIP proxy
Outbound Proxy: <-- This one I thought is the media proxy.
The problem is that, when I put the ip address of my media proxy(i'm using
rtpproxy latest cvs version) on the Outbound proxy, the pap2 tries to
register on it, rather than on the SIP proxy defined at the Proxy: so in
effect I can't register. rtpproxy is "not" on the same box as the SIP proxy.
when I removed the value on the Outbound Proxy, then I can register to the
SIP proxy.
As I mentioned I'm using rtpproxy, I executed it using this:
rtpproxy -l <ip address> -s udp:<ip address>:22000
I can see on the netstat that port 22000 is opened and using udp protocol.
Did I msiunderstood what outbound proxy is? Thank You
Regards,
Ronald

Hello,
I'm about to add voicemail services to my setup, and AFAIU this is down
with the vm module and sems.
Which version of sems should I use? I run ser 0.8.14.
thaks a lot
Luca
When I call to PSTN network from my UA, The call is forwarded to the PSTN gateway by SER with is configured with mediaproxy. Tha gateway normally sends some early media before the call is connected.. I want SER to relay this media to the user Agent. Is there a way to configure SER to forward this media to UA before is connected..
Thanks in advance..
mohamed.

I get this when adding a user in ser (using serctl)
root@brak sbin]# ./serctl add +18165551212 blahblah blah@blah MySql

error: 400; check if you use aliases in SER
Um error 400?? I'm lost. no docs, frustrated. venting.

Is ser being actively developed anymore? Everywhere I go on iptel's
website, everything is horridly outdated. Is there an alternative to
ser? We like ser a lot but don't want to continue inhouse devel on a
"dead" program. Asterisk doesn't even come close to the processing power
of ser, that can't be it... ??
Just curious.
