Hi All.
Should consume_credentials() remove the Proxy-Authorization header
from my SIP messages before I t_relay() them?
If not, how should I remove the header? Use remove_hf() ?

Paul
Hi Oliver,
take a look at these links. It will give you a quick
intro to SER intallation and configuration.
http://www.iptel.org/ser/doc/ser-howto/ser-Howto.htmlhttp://cvs.berlios.de/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/ser/sip_router/INSTALL…
To untar the tarball, you can issue the following
command.
#tar -xzvf ser-0.xx_src.tar.gz
Alternatively you can download the source code from
the cvs tree.

Lakmal

I'll keep it short, when trying to use the gw lookup everything works
fine except the port gets altered to some crazy random port number.
Thoughts?

Hello all,
I have integrated the nathelper-module in SER. This I have done such as
on this site:
http://www.terena.nl/library/IPTELEPHONYCOOKBOOK/contents1.html, chapter
4.7.3.5
I have installed this rtpproxy:
http://www.portaone.com/~sobomax/rtpproxy.tar
<http://www.portaone.com/%7Esobomax/rtpproxy.tar> and started it. Now
it is always this failure, when I restart SER:
3(9842) ERROR: send_rtpp_command: can't read reply from a RTP proxy
3(9842) WARNING: rtpp_test: can't get version of the RTP proxy
3(9842) WARNING: rtpp_test: support for RTP proxyhas been disabled
temporarily
How can I solve this problem? Can somebody help me?

Hi,
I'd like to make some actions in the ser.cfg file when the SIP message
matches the REGISTER action, but only when it corresponds to the
unregistration of the user.
How can I distinguish both cases?. Is there any command I can include
in my ser.cfg file?.
I know that unregistration REGISTER messages include a header field:
"Expires: 0" but I don't know how to find this string in the message.
There's no $SIP_HF_EXPIRES.
Thanks
Dear all,
I am using tz.gz distribution of Ser. After the
installation, I could not find mysql.so, which
supports for the use of MySQL. This package contains
MySQL support package, however when installing, it
was not compiled. The "mysql.so" should be generated
as expected.
Anyone could me please!
Thank you,
V.

Hi,
As far as I remember avp_write (and related config calls) are provided
by the module avpops while the tm parameters are provided by the avp
module.
In fact, and correct please me if I am wrong, the avpops functions
updates the tm modules internally.
In fact, you can also set directly the tm avp using the set_attr config
function (maybe the spelling is not right....check it in the mailing
list/documentation/source code)
Thus, something like:
set_attr ("fr_timer", 14)
t_relay()
would be equivalent to map the inv_timeout avpops "variable" to tm's
parameter fr_inv_timer and set it with avp_write.
Depending on your scenario, you may need to select the timer depending
on some factors (=>use avpops), but if you just want to limit the
duration to PSTN and you have it predefined in your config file, using
just the avp calls is enough.
Hope it helps,
Samuel.

Dan,
You can set the timer with something like this:
avp_write("i:45", "inv_timeout"); # set invite timer to 45 seconds
Just do this before you t_relay()
I use this to give extra time when dialing SIP->PSTN since many PSTN
phones (like cellular phones) need the extra time.

Paul
