Hi All
Our SER server appears to be working just fine but I get the following
message when ever I restart the service.
chgrp: cannot access `/tmp/ser_fifo': No such file or directory
can anyone give me a hint as to what I should look for. The directory does
exist and the file too. SER is running as root.
TIA
Rick
Dear all,
Thank you very much for your time to read this message. Thank you
All, I have qustion about certificate that we build in openser in order the openser support TLS. They are CA root certificate and client/server certificate.
Here is my question:
1. What is certificate file that we have got after running ./gen_rootca.sh belogs to?
I mean, what is cacert.pem, 01.pem, cakey.pem belongs to? Is it belongs to server? and for what does it use?
2. What is certificate file that we have got after runnign ./gen_usercert.sh belongs to?
I mean, what is user-cert.pem,user-privkey.pem, user-calist.pem belongs to? Is it belongs to server or client? and what does it use?
I do hope anybody can help me and give me an answer. Please..
Thank you.
Regards,
Ferianto

Hello all.
Please, I have a problem using DNS or IP on the client side.
When I use IP all calls are fine, but if I use the DNS of the server that point to the same IP some calls can't be done.
Is there any place to configure this on ser.cfg ???
Please help.
Thanks.

please see my ngrep report -
and tell me why my SER cannot send ACK to the pstn gw.
it is sending to private ip adress with complete wrong adressing like sip:
192.168.1.106:5060 SIP/2.0.
i think it has to be like sip:phonenumber@192.168.1.106
Is there a constant Username that I could use within my openser.cfg? I have
several database lookups based upon the Username, however I have found that
if my user dials out using *67 his ATA replaces his username with
"anonymous" thereby making a good majority of my config useless.

I used to be able to create user accounts by issuing the following SER
command:
serctl add UserName UserPassword UserName@email
Openser documentation gives the example
openserctl add UserName UserPassword UserName@Email
But when I do this I get the following error
WARINIG: no database engine found - tried ''
This command requires a database engine - none was loaded
So how do you use openserctl to create new users?
Thanks....Chris
Hi
What is the best way to filter through a large number of subscribers
registered on SER?
Hundreds of IF...ELSE statements don't look efficient, nor pretty.
