Hello,
first photo album from the OpenSER summit days is available at:
http://www.openser.org/events/2006-OpenSER-Summit/photos/Nov.7-8/
Also, the slides are collected in their last version and uploaded to:
http://www.openser.org/events/2006-OpenSER-Summit/slides/
We like to thank to all people attending the event, the number of
participants was a pleasant surprise even for VoN organizers. During
Wednesday we were able to meet lot of community members and listen to
very interesting speeches. Since the slides do not reflect entirely the
presentation, in the near future we will post comments about each one
showed there. We are still collecting photos, so expect more in the next
days, maybe some videos as well.
The event was more focused on OpenSER capabilities and business cases,
rather than technical discussions. This leaded to a frequent question:
when a technical meeting will be hold? We started investigation for time
and place, someone already committed to host the event, proposals are
very welcome. On the other hand, we got lot of emails asking about
similar events in other places of the world, traveling between
continents not being very convenient -- we look to do such meetings as
well, further details will follow on the mailing lists.
Cheers,
Daniel
Hello All,
I would like to do:
exec_msg("cat /tmp/test.txt > %ci");
But %ci has always the same value!!
How Can I change the value of a pseudo-variable?
Thank you.
Ben,

There was added sipgrep utility written by Alexandr Dubovikov
<shurik(a)start4.info> into SER's source tree (utils/sipgrep).
It is a wrapper on ngrep which
* filters SIP messages according number in To or From header fields
* displays From tag, To tag, Call-ID and branch in different colours,
thus it is possible to trace dialogs or transactions by "one look
into message" ... this is really great! ;-)
* It can store received messages into a file and show them (together)
For a bit more info see README. For other info contact author.

Hi all!
For testing purposes I want certain extensions being answered with
streamed music. I guess this requires certain routing in SER (and
perhaps a SIP client?)
Has anyone done something similar before? Where/how should I start?

Evert
I was wondering whether a patch or a new release is available to the issue
of presence core dumping on a regular basis that was reported short while
back? Thanks in advance.
>The version 0.10.99 of presence snapshot core dumps on a regular
basis after running for a certain time. Doing a gdb shows that the core
dump occurs at msg_queue_destroy:

Hi All,
I have downloaded the SER and trying to run XCAP server. I have gone through
the README file for the XCAP server and understood that it is server
simulation.
Still I didn't get how to install and run it. Could anyone please through
some light on this?
Thanks,
Jayantheesh

Hi All!!
According to the SER -Getting Started Manual SER is located in the local network
and has an local IP adres. Is it some how possible to register the SIP UA from the outside of the local net?? I mean can I register them without giving SER an public IP adress?? If yes then what do I have to specify (what adress) in the softphones configuration in the SIP Proxy section??
Thanks 4 any help!
