Dear all
we have a server setup with 2 ethernets, we use mhome=1 and wanted to
send the message back to which ethernet it comes in, but doesn't seem to
work. Did we misunderstood the mhome command? or just a configuration
issue?
thanks
Ray
in this sentence what does version 7 speak of? version 7 of what?
" - if you're running version 7 or higher there is no need for the OS79XX.TXT file"
thanks jan in advance

Hi Jan,
I am just curious -- what does it mean exactly it speaks SIP only under CCM5.0?
Thanks!

i just recently (last week) put sip firmware on a 7940G and 7960G. the are booting up with the word "SIP" at the top now. i haven't been able to get them to call each other yet. still working on that and getting my ser solaris 10 box working right. i had a few softphones calling eachother from what apeared to be via the ser box and also from what appeared to be direct ip to ip between the softphones, but i'm still unsure that the ser box was installed properly....and i'm frustrated because serweb wouldn't install properly .... that xxxphp file seemed to not want to be recognized as a package when i did pkgadd.....anyway, thanks for letting my cry on your shoulder....i;m sure it has everything to do with my lack of knowledge.....but we learn as we go don't we :)
oh, cisco phone, ummm, yeah i put the 5 files in a tftp server i think it was ...
OS79XX
P003-08-2-00.bin
P003-08-2-00.sbn
P003-08-2-00.loads
P003-08-2-00.sb2
and it loaded up a new universal application loader into the phones....."...2000-2006"
then they loaded their sip firmware ....blinky lights during upgrade.....now they boot up and go through a decision tree to find a valid config file which i haven't been able to figure out yet......

Hi,
I am looking for experiences with cisco (series 79xx) phones with sip
... can it be installed (sip) on all of them? or just a few models
(7960 ... or 7970)?
Tks!

Hi,
simply move the file to the correct location :-)
I am not sure where 'pear install' put the file. You have to find it.

I have been having this same problem for some time now and verified that the classkit.so file is in the folder specified in the php.ini. (/usr/lib/php/modules/classkit.so)
Is there anything else that might be happening?

So... I have a section of my ser.cfg that I use to handle call forwarding to
URIs on other SIP services or to the PSTN.
if(avp_db_load("$ruri/username","s:callfwd"))
{
avp_pushto("$ruri", "s:callfwd");
# Now set the timeout to 45 seconds (write the integer
# 45 to the avp inv_timeout (see the earlier modparam)
avp_write("i:45","inv_timeout");
route(1);
break;
};
The trick is, if I have this BELOW the proxy_authorize() portion of the
config, it works for forwards to URIs, but not to forwards for the PSTN (gives
me back an error saying it failed proxy authorisation.
Any idea why this would be the case? I've added the PSTN gateway to the
trusted table, and everything else seems to work okay except PSTN forwarding.
Is it because I let this rewrite the RURI and then let it run back through the
route again to get pushed onto the PSTN? Should I be splitting this up into a
callfwd that handles URIs and one that handles PSTN calls (if so, that will
get awfully confusing with the number of people who use e164-style usernames
for their users)?
I mean... it WORKS where it is. I'm just trying to understand what's happening
inside. :)
