Juha,
Thanks. I went through that option yesterday. As we have 6 instances of OpenSER running, I would need to have SIX routes defined in the lcr table for a single prefix. For example (IP's modified):
mysql> select * from lcr;
+----+--------+---------------+--------+----------+
| id | prefix | from_uri | grp_id | priority |
+----+--------+---------------+--------+----------+
| 8 | 1303 | @203.84.213.8 | 1 | 1 |
| 9 | 1303 | @203.84.214.8 | 2 | 1 |
| 10 | 1303 | @203.84.215.8 | 3 | 1 |
| 11 | 1303 | @203.84.216.8 | 4 | 1 |
| 12 | 1303 | @203.84.217.8 | 5 | 1 |
| 14 | 1303 | @203.84.218.8 | 6 | 1 |
+----+--------+---------------+--------+----------+
..... All that .... six rows for a single prefix. Of course, we have thousands of routes for each of our providers... off the top of my head, we have about 17,000 routes between Teleglobe and Verizon... multiply that by 6 and you have almost 120,000 routes. Apart from the administrative hassle, can OpenSER handle 120,000+ routes in the lcr table ok?
Our providers also have sometimes have several gateways in a single POP. However, we don't want to actually try and route calls to every single gateway in a POP, just a few of them. The LCR module doesn't seem to have a way to skip to the next lcr route. Can it do that? If it can't, we have to try every single gateway in a POP before skipping to the next carrier, which just isn't feesible.
Doug.

hello,
iam new to this list and i have a question about the presence Server in
openser. We are currently using asterisk for a hosted pbx solution with
the feature so show active and also ringing lines on a snom360 phone.
This feature uses the Asterisk hint, subscriber and notify handling.
i havent found if i could use the presence server for this solution. The
problem is that if i just pass through the subscriber and notify
messages from the client via openser to the asterisk server that the
server doesnt know if the client which should be watched is registered
or not (registrations are made with openser).
So i have to find a solution where openser could handle subscriptions
for clients which are registered and also send notifys on every invite,
ringing and bye of a watched client to the subscriber.
could i use the presence server for that or should i search for another
solution?
Best regards
Steve Smith

Hi All,
I am a newbie to this list so please forgive me if the question below has
been discussed before. I could not find anything related so i am sending my
query.
I have been looking at the LCR module to do serial forking since we want to
prioritize contacts based on q values. However, we do not want to fork in
parallel to contacts even if they share the same q value. AFAIK,this is
currently not possible with the LCR module.
Would it be a good idea to have a parameter (e.g "append-branches") in the
LCR module which can control the forking behavior when q value of contacts
is the same?
Thanks,
Amit

Good morning to all.
I am Valerio, and this im my first post.
I was never using OPENSER: I discovered it this morning, searcing for a
solution.
I have this situation: I am using Motorola Canopy wireless antennas to
deploy internet connection, but it implements a symmetric NAT which make not
operating STUN protocol.
I think that one of solution should be to install a proxy server which
redirects registering and calls to the public proxy (euteliavoip).
I thought that OPENSER should be a good solution: can you confirm this?
Thanks for every your suggestions.
Valerio

Hey
I can't get snmpstats module to load. Message from logs is (during
config parsing):
ERROR:core:sr_load_module: could not open module
</usr/local/openser/lib/openser/modules/snmpstats.so>:
/usr/lib/libnetsnmpagent.so.10: undefined symbol: boot_DynaLoader
System: CentOS-5.1, 32b, up-to-date.
Openser: svn head from 1.3 branch
Tried `ldconfig`, recompiling after `make clean`, ... Has anyone got
some ideas how to resolve it? Google points to problems with linking C
extensions for perl only, which I think is not the case here.
Thanks,
Stanisław Pitucha
