Hi OPENSER community,
I have recently started playing around with Openser, I am looking for a
solution in which my Openser Server should carry the signalling part and my
media stream should be handle by my voipswitch so I can monitor my RTP
stream, work with my calling card solution.
While browsing I came to know about mediaproxy rely and media server may be
it help me to sent my RTP packet from my server but I like to use my voip
switch for my media stream.
Thanks, any input
appreciated!

Hi Experts,
I was working on open SER. And i need to test the RLS feature.
I am approaching like this first i install openSER1.3.0 and then will deploy
RLS rpm of which i got from the link
http://fedora.nad.go.id/updates/8/i386/repodata/repoview/openser-rls-0-1.3.…

Could you suggest any other approach?
Where i can get the working OpenSER and RLS?
Thanks Regards,

Hi,
I was following this sample configuration for a multihomed server:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=SER+example+outboundproxy
and it mentions:
"For this example to work, you must also follow the nathelper module
instructions for creating new location_internal and location_external
tables. Be careful to use underscores ("_") and not hyphens ("-") when
creating the new tables."
But I couldn't find any instruction anywhere.
Can someone address me to the correct place please?
Thanks,
Diego

Hi All,
I am new to Openser , implemented as presence server by loading presence module .
This is installed on the same machine where HSS and SER_IMS are running.
My doubt is how I can conform connectivity between HSS and Presence module.
Please can anybody respond to this?

Hello,
We are trying to benchmark openser1.3.1 - installed in a 2cpu-dual core(Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5110 @ 1.60GHz),hp c-class blade, with 2GBRAM.
OS:RHEL4U5.
We have configured openser with mysql database as registerer.
We are using IMS Bench(IMS SIPp),to generate SIPp traffic - combination of registration/re registration/de-registration/call flow(uac)/scenarios.
It looks like, the when the calls per second is increased 150/200 CPS, calls started failing.
Is this is normal acceptable performance figures for openser for the above configuration?
we record route all the SIP requests (except for REGISTER,MESSAGE ) and we do have mysql database for authenticating registration requests.
Attached, the openser.cfg
Also attached the Error logs from SIPP.
Anyone have some clues/hints?
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
VJ
Hi,
I can't connect to my server using SIP phone (Xlite on windows). i
trace sip packets using
#tcpdump port 5060
and i got this :
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
12:11:54.458829 IP 122.200.6.103.62482 > 122.200.6.104.sip: SIP, length: 539
12:11:58.520903 IP 122.200.6.103.62482 > 122.200.6.104.sip: SIP, length: 539
12:12:02.583054 IP 122.200.6.103.62482 > 122.200.6.104.sip: SIP, length: 539
12:12:06.645089 IP 122.200.6.103.62482 > 122.200.6.104.sip: SIP, length: 539
i guess i got no problem on my SIP phone, it's just my server that
didn't respond to the sip request.
Here's my server status :
#openserctl moni
[cycle #: 1072; if constant make sure server lives]
