Hi all, I just would like to know if we can link SER to LDAP server (Microsoft AD) for user authentication, rather than using MySQL. If yes, how can we achieve it? Thanks Leon

[Serusers] Looking for commercial support

Hi, We are looking for commercial support for SER and SEMS. More precisely, we are looking for an engineer or a company who could help us to improve our existing SER based infrastructure. We would also be happy to get support from someone who has good experience with SER, SEMS and python. We do not need much in terms of features (registrar + proxy + voice2mail), but we want to be able to solve any little issue related to specific softphone or hardware, and to learn how to write new scripts for SER and SEMS. [Kamailio-Users] reducing T1 timer per route

hello I am using lcr and have 3 gws that I send the calls to, so far I am handling error responses using "on_failure_route" and calling the next_gw function and it is working fine. But in cases when 1 of those gws is disconnnected or super busy and a 100 Trying is not received in the first 3 - 5 seconds I would like to drop that call and use the next_gw. Right now I have to wait until all retries fail to try the next gw, but that happens after 64*T1 = 32 seconds. How can I accomplish that? cheers jp

hello when using kamctl to start/stop kamailio it also provides a lot more "functions" like "kamctl lcr show", "kamctl ul show", etc. If I start kamailio using kamailio -f "path to my config" etc how can I have the same functionalities? regards jp

Hi, I need to install SER for my company, which is pretty new for me. If we only need it for SIP registrar and proxy, do I need install any dependencies? And is there a list to explain what each dependency does? If I install the basic without dependencies, can I add them later and how? Thanks Leon

[Kamailio-Users] 513 Message too big

Hello to all I have Asterisk forwarding calls through Kamailio. If calls are placed by an Asterisk extension (like X-Lite) everything works fine. ( ex: X-Lite -> Asterisk -> Kamailio ) If calls are placed through a Cisco Router (connected to Asterisk) Kamailio answers: "513 Message too big" ( ex: Cisco VoIP client -> Cisco Router -> Asterisk -> Kamailio ) Also, the destination phone rings, but the calling party is disconnected because of this 513 message. This message if probably being originated here: if (msg:len >= 2048 ) { sl_send_reply("513", "Message too big"); exit; }; What could be the problem? Is the problem in Kamailio configuration or Asterisk configuration? And why does the call works when placed by an Asterisk extension, but doesn't work when placed by an Asterisk connected equipment?
