[Kamailio-Users] SIP Router Development Meeting - Oct 2, 2009, Berlin, Germany

Hello, I want to introduce SIP Router Development Meeting 2009 planned for Friday, October 2 in Berlin, Germany. More details about the event at: http://sip-router.org/2009/09/14/development-meeting-2009/ Shortly, the goal of the meeting is to analyze the evolution so far, discuss the plans for the future and socialize within the community. The integration between SER and Kamailio is 99% done (only seas module needs some work), first major release based on SIP router core is due in about one month: Kamailio 3.0, today being the date of going into testing phase. Participation is free for anybody upon registration via email at: registration(a)lists.sip-router.org Feel free to submit suggestions for discussion topics, presentations and event extensions. A hacking session is already proposed, now just show your interest. Hiii...I installed kamailio 1.5.1 and mysql 5.0.37 properly. Authnetication is working properly. Now i'm going to configure the feature "speed dial". I tried with two config files. [Kamailio-Users] Does forward() DNS SRV failover?

Hello, I am using Kamailio 1.4.1 and I have to relay REGISTER messages to several other proxies (2). In one case I need to forward all request/responses and in the other case I don not need to propagate the responses. In the first case I am using forward() and in the other case t_replicate(). What I have realized from my test is that forward() does not perform DNS SRV failover as t_relay does, but if I use t_relay, the t_replicate does not work. Is that a bug in forward()? Is there any other way to relay messages, in the case explained above? Thanks -- Arturo Díaz

Dear All, Iam trying to configure IMC. I find that different parameters are passed in the sample cfg and in the README. I would like to know if the following two parameters are essential inorder to configure IMC or can i run IMC without passing the two parameters. modparam("imc", "rooms_table", "rooms") modparam("imc", "rooms_table", "members") I would also like to know the use of these parameters. [Kamailio-Users] new module: number portability functionality

Hi all, i just commited several parts related to number portability functionality to the sr repository. This can be used as a source for routing informations related to the ownership of the number. This functionality consists of several parts. 1. pdb server This server loads serialized routing data from the disk and stores it in memory. It then listens on an UDP Port for requests containing a number and returns ID of the carrier which owns the number. This server uses the same datastructure as the carrierroute module and provides a really good performance. According our experience it usually consumes only a few percent CPU, even you use only one server for your complete callrouting cluster. 2. pdb connector module This module connects the sip-router server to the pdb server. It supports load-balancing and aggressive timeouts. Normally it not need more than a few ms to query the remote server and return the reply to the configuration script. 3. pdb tool (data compiler) This tool provides the functionality to compile the carrier and number informations into the binary data format the pdb server expect. It supports optimizing the generated trie structure, so that for example the complete number to carrier mapping for germany (app. 150 million numbers) don't need more than a few hundred megabytes. You can also combine not interesting carriers in order to save even more space and get better performance. You find the module in the modules/pdb directory, the server and tool is in utils/pdbt. This directory also contains documentation (README for module, utils/pdbt/docs/* for data format and network protocol). We decided to develop a custom solution as none of the alternatives that were evaluated (like enum over DNS, databases e.g. berkeley DB, some commercial products) provides the wanted performance, failure tolerance and storage efficieny. This module has been in production use since some time, so if you find some bugs they are most probably introduced from me because of the sr adaption. The original implementation was done from Hardy Kahl. IAm trying to configure IMC in kamailio.I created two tables in the database named, imc_rooms and imc_members.IN my xlite phone i give the command q:sip@192.168.64.75 ('q' is used as the default chatroom name in .cfg). when i give the command , # create room_name, i get the following error, ERROR:imc:imc_handle_message: room [q] does not exist! Sep 9 12:28:25 [2632] ERROR:imc:imc_manager: failed to handle 'message' Kindly guide me.. Thanks

[Kamailio-Users] room does not exits

Dear All, I am configurig IMC and i am curently facing an issue. When i send a mesage to the charroom named q (the default nmae is q), i get an error message which says, " ERROR:imc:imc_handle_message: room [q] does not exist! ERROR:imc:imc_manager: failed to handle 'message' " i created two tables in my database.Iam sure that iam doing something silly which is invoking this error message . Kindly guide me with my cfg and let me know if I need to make any changes in my cfg.
