Usually you just execute "make deb". The first time you will get an error message about missing dependencies. Basic install with source using the provided script: make_and_install install "standard" then try to do : /usr/local/sbin/kamctl start INFO: Starting Kamailio : ERROR: PID file /var/run/kamailio.pid does not exist -- Kamailio start failed root@qa-qsuitePBX-01:/usr/local/sbin# What am I doing wrong? Kamailio 1.5 stops processing messages

Hi, I'm working with Kamailio 1.5 (rev 5968) and from time to time kamailio freezes and stops processing messages. Kamailio is working only in UDP. I really don't know in which conditions this problem is happening: it happens both in high and low load. Robust header compression (RFC 3095) with Kamailio + rtpproxy

Hello, We are looking into bandwidth conservation by implementing RTP/UDP/IP header compression. Has anybody implemented ROHC or another header compression scheme in combination with kamailio + rtpproxy ? Could you please point us to online documentation or other useful resources ? Trying to find the built-in password for the database....

So... I've been working on installing Kamailio 3.0.1 on a test server to begin migration from SER 0.9.6 (yes, I know it will be a bit of a migration). The INSTALL docs are... not perfect if working with the source (and not a package). Following the instructions did not get me mysql support. There were files that didn't install where they needed to be that I had to move over by hand -- none of which is mentioned in the docs. Even after removing the db_mysql from the list of excluded modules, it BUILT the module, but didn't install it. I also used a different DB name, username, and password from the default (to match more closely the environment we'll be migrating from). After tinkering, I got the DB scripts to run with the right username/pass, and have now edited the kamctlrc and kamailio.cfg to have the proper db name, username, pass, etc. However, when I try and start kamailio, it fails, and the log spits out a bunch of access denied messages using the original, default username/pass (openserro@localhost). My question is, where is that password located? What file have I missed? N.

Kamailio as a UAC

Hello. Is possible use some module in kamailio to authenticate against a Asterisk Box for example?. What I need is to have a Sip Client Registered in Kamailio, but when this client is called I need to send the call to Asterisk which will ask for authentication (user/pass). Dispatcher send OPTION Interval

Hello all, In dispatcher, I know how to send OPTIONS, modify the interval when a gateway is down... I can't see how to change the Ping option interval when a gateway is up. how can I do? Question on install of Kamailio 3.0.1 from source on Ubuntu 8.04

I downlaoded the source of 3.0.1 and untar'ed. Then executed as per docs (INSTALL file): make prefix=/ make prefix=/ install Yet, when I start kamailio from /sbin/kamailio, I get this: root@qa-qsuitePBX-01:/usr/src# kamailio loading modules under //lib/kamailio/modules_k/://lib/kamailio/modules/ Listening on udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5060 udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5065 udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5066 udp: 10.98.6.6 [10.98.6.6]:5067 Aliases: It's loading modules from //lib....?
