Hi,
Is there any function in kamailio that could differentiates between a new incoming INVITE message and a re-INVITE message for an existing active call?
Thanks,
AS
Friends,
The 2600Hz project that builds an API-driven telephony service have selected to switch to Kamailio as a SIP proxy for their SBC. They blog about the switch, comparing Kamailio with their previous choice and coming to a conclusion:
"To our minds, a more active development community means that other users are likely to help solve bottlenecks for us, so we spend less time worrying about our SBC, and more time writing fun new applications!
Conclusion:
We’re switching to Kamailio because:
• Many of our Major Clients already use it
• The Naming Conventions are more sensible
• The Pace of Innovation on Kamailio is faster"
Join me in welcoming 2600Hz to the Kamailio project!

Dear Sir,
Is there any one in the list who have set up (integrated) Kamailio with
sylkserver for conference. There is very less available information on
the internet on this topic. All the required changes are made in
sylkserver config files.
Kindly advise for required changes in Kamailio.
With Regards,
Vijay Thakur
Hi,
I'm after advice.
I'm developing a script to provide a degree of PBX functionality for a
small to medium office using Kamailio & SEMS.
This includes mapping internal extensions to external PSTN numbers via
the SIP trunk provider.
The incoming mapping is easy using the db_alias functionality.
The outgoing mapping is more difficult as the SIP trunk provider
requires both the Full National Number and an account number matching
the FNN in the outgoing From header.
I'd appreciate suggestions on the best way to store, retrieve, and
manage the additional information required for outgoing PSTN calls.
I think avpops will work but is there some other way to do this?
Thanks,
Hi all,
We have two softswitch hosts that don't support TLS. We have a peer that
requires TLS, they terminate all our connections on a single address. We
want to use kamailio as a proxy for it.
Could you point me to the documentation and/or working examples that
describe how to implement connection tracking to ensure replies to
connections originated from host A are relayed back to host A, and
connections from host B get back to host B?
Thanks in advance.

Hi!
I am looking for a way to add addresses to the IP blacklist in Kamailio at startup. Is that possible?
I know I can do it with sercmd, but I fail to find a documented way to do it in the configuration... Must be missing something simple.
Thank you for your help!

Hello,
just short note to let everyone know that the default database for
Kamailio is now named 'kamailio' - the change happened over the weekend
as part of migrating from last bits from openser to kamailio namespace.
Also, the default usernames and passwords to access the database are now:
- kamailio with password kamailiorw for read-write operations
- kamailioro with password kamailioro for read-only operations
If you set db_url parameters in the config file, there should be no
impact on existing configurations. You also have to make sure you set
the right value in kamctlrc file if you update kamctl.
This change impacts development version (to be released as 3.4.0). Two
other components are in the to-do list for this change: perl and snmpstats
Cheers,
Daniel
