hi All, We're using SER Release-2.0.0.rc1. While trying to add a domain using "./ser_ctl domain add adc.com" command we're facing the following error - ser_ctl: digest_realm: Unknown attribute My doubt is, if I look at the database, there is no field named digest_realm in the domain table.... Hi all. I get an exception in openXcap when I send a GET to retrieve the resources file. I explain the process I followed: ----->Send GET to openXcap. <----Receive 404, because there is not file. -----> Send PUT to openXcap. OpenXCAP has already included twisted, do I need to install Apache? I don't much about twisted. It seems I need to create a directory for xcap root, because the web browser gives me "XCAP root not found for uri: http://127.0.0.1:8000". And, how do I do that? Hi Folks, I have 2 questions, I'm using openser 1.1.x and rtpproxy bridging between 2 networks, one public, one private. a pstn gateway in the private network, and clients in the public network. firstly, when I make a call check_from() fails, unless I comment it out, why is this? # if(!check_from()) # { # sl_send_reply("403", "Spoofed From-URI Detected"); # exit; # } and secondly. I have rtpproxy and openser listening on both public and private interfaces, with mhomed=1 set. whenever I make a call, everything works ok, but I have no audio? where should I look? -Cheers Max

Hi, I am trying to compare the values of 'IP source address' ($si) and 'Domain in SIP Request's URI' ($rd) to see if they match in Openser 1.1. Probably I have missed the relevant documentation, I checked http://www.openser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/pseudovariables:1.1.x and http://www.openser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/core-cookbook:1.1.x . Basically I'd like to do this: if($si == $rd){ #do something } but that gives a syntax error. I also tried this: if(src_ip==$rd){ } but it seems the pseudo variable isn't being expanded before the evaluation, as I don't get a match even though debugging shows $si and $rd to be the same. Also, is there anyway to pass a pseudo variable to rewritehost() or an equivalent function? Thanks for any pointers, Richard

Richard: Sorry if this breaks threading, I don't have the original message. In the cases where it doesn't work, can you confirm that the Contact URI in the 200 actually contains a public address as it leaves your network? What you're describing makes me think it's not, and it looks like the following to me: GW sends 200 with private address in Contact. This private address leaks out of your network. This private address happens to fall within the range of your customer's private network. The 200 hits the remote router. The ALG leaves it alone (for now). The PAP2T reads the Contact in the 200 and pulls the private address from it. It targets the ACK to this private address, and sends it. The ALG sees this, and notices the RURI contains a private address from it's own local network. It PATs this address (hence the port 2021, it just picks the next port, since 2020 was already used by your PAP2T). The ACK now contains the offending address in the RURI. When your openser instance gets it, it just relays it like it was told to do based on loose routing, and the call drops. The thing about those ALGs is that they will rewrite *anything* that matches the access list associated with the nat pool address, even if it has nothing to do with any real IP traffic flowing through the thing. Hi, I'd like to extend the "location" table with more attributes and get them as AVP's after "lookup()" function. Is it any automatic way to do that? I mean something as "auth_db" module's "load_credentials" that load AVP's with more subscriber data. I don't find it so I think I'll need to do a custom SQL query after "lookup()" (in branch_route) and get the custom fields. Anyway I ask it: is there any way I don't know to get this "easily"? Hi! Runing OpenSER 1.1.1. In the uri_db module I have modparam("uri_db", "use_uri_table", 1) modparam("uri_db", "use_domain", 0) But the use_domain setting seems to be ignored. When I check the mysql.log i see select username from uri where username='XX102208' AND domain='XX.61.139.21' AND uri_user='XX102208' and check_from and check_to fails if the domain part does not match. Hi, I've found that Linksys SPA9000 (some sort of IP PBX) signals extensions in a "ref" parameter of From-Header, like: From: <sip:line1@matrix.sipura.com>;tag=1234;ref=105 Is there a way to easily access this parameter? Seems like... $var(ext) = $(fu{uri.param,ref}); ... doesn't catch it because it's not part of $fu. Any other ways except trying to assign $hdr(From) to an AVP and extract it using avp_subst(...)? [Serusers] lcr module question - how to implement nice routing logic?

Hi, Is it possible to use lcr module so that when the routing logic checks it won't change the request URI but only change the destination of the SIP message?? I would like to utilize this module to select if the outgoing message should be forwarded to boundary SIP Proxy or to SIP/PSTN Gateway. [OpenSER-Users] Cluster Setup / openser location table entries "gone"

Hello Guys, I'm clustering subscribers at the database level, however it seems this one specific server I added into cluster that uses usrloc, is removing location entries, completely randomly? I've turned debug=9, but all I can see is... a bunch of: "core:db_free_rows: freeing 0 rows" over and over, this is with revision 2602 and latest trunk from openser. Which is thus on a usrloc mode of (3) causing essentially inbound calls to stop working. Any ideas anyone? Anyone with similiar issue? Every other server is running just fine, just only when this SINGLE server connects / runs to the rest of the cluster (MySQL) -- it starts dropping openser's locations. Any help appreciated, thanks! P.S. Also tried with libmysqlclient libs from 5.2.0-beta and 5.0 stable. -- Brandon Armstead

Hello Anca With the current release 2993 this works. In general I use no etag param. I know what you mean by that it changes (for re-updates initiated by PUA, last numbers change e.g. from 1.0 to 2.1). I have now a different error though, even worse: First sending publish with infinite Expires: -1 works, also Expires: 0 afterwards deletes the entry in the presentity table (works as well). But if I wanna do another publish after this scenario, the whole OpenSER PUA gets stuck. It doesn't accept anymore MI publication. Also DEBUG log stops. The last lines I see in the debug are DBG:pua_mi:mi_pua_publish: send publish DPG: pua:send_publish: pres_uri=test(a)10.96.115.125 And then it freezes, no more debug information and MI request acceptance (also no reply in MI output FIFO) SIP messagesd for first publishs with Expires: -1 and 0 are exchanged (Publish/200 OK and Publish/200 OK) but for sending a Expires: -1 request again, no SIP message is created as well. What can be the error here? Stange it works once but afterwards not. Can it be that Expires: 0 deletes the presentity table entry but pua table entry is still there? I tried as well to delete that one manually before performing second publish with Expires: -1 but it doesn't work either. hi All, We've downloaded the SERCTL Utility from http://www.iptel.org/ser_2_0_0_release_candidate_1. It seems that the Makefile of this utility is written for Linux. Can we have the same which runs on Unix platform (Solaris 10 OS). Can anybody tell me that whether we can use the serctl utility which is there in default installation (/PREFIX_PATH/sbin/serctl). Hi Bogdan, Flag inheritance by the replies works. I did not know that it was not supposed to work for the CANCEL. It is good to know because I was starting to loose my mind... Maybe a note somewhere in the project's site would be useful. It is very strange behaviour because t_check_trans() returns true which means that the CANCEL belongs to an existing transaction, but the flags are not the same as the original. Last question: What about Re-INVITEs? The flags are not working there either? If this is true, then the only way to save some information about the transaction is to add it as a parameter in the contact? Or is there some other way? Thank you. [OpenSER-Users] Acc module question

Hi, I need to know when a channel of my media gateway is busy (included when the call is still ringing, etc). I have my Openser working with acc module storing in a mysql database. I don't use media proxy server. I can see the media gateway active calls in the acc table calculating the INVITEs whithout BYEs call registers. But I see Openser doesn't insert the INVITE register still and ACK arrives. It means I just can view in my database the number of active calls but i cannot know how many call attempts there's in the media gateway. How can I do to Openser insert the INVITE register to my database when an INVITE messages arrives and don't wait for the ACK message? Thanks in advance, Sergi

Hi all, I'm developing a Presence AS OpenSER module (derived from the OpenSER Presence module) and, from time to time, it happens the next situation: - AS sends a NOTIFY message - the client receives the NOTIFY and responds with 200 OK - AS receives 200 OK response, but it starts to retransmit the original NOTIFY and it retransmits it until it gets back a 408 Request timeout. Please note that I use "tm" module for sending SIP messages, so I don't handle retransmissions explicitly in my module. Also, note that it does not happen all the time, but from time to time. Hello all, I am running into a strange problem with message (or transaction) flags. I set a message flag while processing the INVITE, but this flag does not appear in any messages that belong to the same transaction. I discovered this while trying to resolved an issue with Re-INVITEs. Now I am testing it with a simple INVITE-CANCEL senario and I see that again the flag does not appear when processing the CANCEL. My script is pretty basic, at least for the CANCEL processing. [Serusers] MySQL in SER 2.0

A couple of notes. 1) I've replicated my patched my_con.c file for the new SER 2.0 code. This is a patched file to work with MySQL 5.0.19+ (technically 5.0.X+, but there were problems pre 5.0.19). This is to fix problems with the timeouts that MySQL 5 has imposed on open connections. You can find the patched my_con.c file here: http://www.ideasip.com/support/utils/my_con.c.SER2 And it can be applied the same way as it's applied in SER 0.9.6. See the FAQ: http://www.iptel.org/faq/why_does_my_mysql_5_0_x_connection_time_out_when_u… 2) There are still issues with the mysql.so module compiling properly in SER when using a distro that DOESN'T have the mysql client libraries in /usr/lib/mysql Currently, the MySQL community rpms put the client libs into /usr/lib instead of /usr/lib/mysql: [root@localhost ~]# ldconfig -p | grep -i mysqlclient libmysqlclient_r.so.15 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libmysqlclient_r.so.15 libmysqlclient_r.so (libc6) => /usr/lib/libmysqlclient_r.so libmysqlclient.so.15 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.15 libmysqlclient.so (libc6) => /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so And for some reason, the SER makefile doesn't LOOK for them there. It will look in /usr/lib/mysql and somewhere in /usr/local/lib, but it will ignore /usr/lib. The problem is, the module compiles just fine with no errors of any kind, but when you run ser, you get the usual: module won't load, undefined symbol: log message -- which is entirely misleading. Is there any chance someone will be updating a) the my_con.c file officially (I submitted a bug back in the 0.9.6 days) for use with mysql 5 (since we've been at that stage for a while now), and b) modifying the makefile to look either in the right place or at least error out when things just aren't going to work correctly. Honestly, if I knew how to do either of these, I would... but I've looked at the makefile, and can't figure out why it's not finding the libs. Just some thoughts. For now, I just symlink the /usr/lib/libmysqlclient* files into /usr/lib/mysql and recompile the module and it works just fine. However, that seems like a less than elegant solution. N.

You should use the 'alias' core paremeter (http://www.openser.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/core-cookbook:1.2.x#alias) to add SIP domain aliases for your server. 'myself' does not look at the 'domain' table. Hi all. I am having some trouble with the sentence 'if (uri==myself) ' in the config script. The REGISTER request URI is 'sip:mydomain' and 'mydomain' is in my 'hosts' file and in the database table ('domain' table) but in the log I can see that '(uri==myself)' is false. Dear all After long evaluation I still have the following error and no solution yet to solve it. I am using OpenSER current trunk version, but also with older versions (e.g. 2597, 2619) I am having the problem. With version 2404 it seems to work, although I cannot use that version and have to upgrade OpenSER to a newer release due to table consistencies. When I use PUA_MI to create a Publish, everything works fine. "Expires: -1" works for infinite state. But when I want to expire this state ("Expires: 0"), the PUA replies: search_htable: record not found and later send_publish: request for a publish with expires 0 and no record found There is most likely a problem in pua/hash.c or pua/send_publish.c but I cannot find it. SVN 2983 I receive a INVITE with "Forwarded" header: -------- Forwarded: by sip:ibc@sip.domain.net --------- but OpenSer can't detect it in anyway (I've tryed all of this): xlog("L_ERROR","hdr(Forwarded) = $(hdr('Forwarded')) $(hdr(Forwarded)[1]) $(hdr('Forwarded')[1]) $(hdr(Forwarded)[*])\n"); and the log says: hdr(Forwarded) = <null> <null> <null> <null> Any reason for this? is it a bug? it worked in 1.2.X. Hi, Consider a regular OpenSER + Asterisk solution: OpenSER is the proxy/registrar, Asterisk hosts voicemail and conference, talks to PSTN terminations, etc. NAT traversal is assisted by either rtpproxy or mediaproxy. In such a setup, can OpenSER be configured for barge-in? (If yes, how?) Or, what do you think is the best way to approach this problem? Thanks, Sajith.

HI Sajith, For SIP, Barge-in is covered in the RFC3911 (Join Header). This functionality is independent of the Proxy. Is has to be implemented in the phone. Currently, I don´t know any phone that has implemented this RFC. Pingtel has participated in this RFC, so my best bet is that they can have something in this area. Hi Folks, I hope someone can help. I'm using openser 1.1.1-notls with mediaproxy, an asterisk PSTN gateway, an asterisk voicemail/features server and a trixbox (asterisk) client. I'm also very new to openser which doesn't help :) I've setup the openser database with subscribers,domains,aliases, and gateways etc. mysql> select * from dbaliases; | alias_username | alias_domain | username | domain | nnnnnn2099 | lhc-asterisk-pstn.yyy.com | lhc-trixbox1 | lhc-openser.yyy.com then I generated an openser.cfg file using the sip:wise sipwizard tool a copy is here http://pastebin.com/m46ba88d2 My asterisk PSTN gateway (nnn.nnn.nnn.190) is able to pass inbound calls to openser (nnn.nnn.nnn.189), which should then pass them onto trixbox(nnn.nnn.nnn.187). however the calls are failing. Hi, If Asterisk CANCEL a call to OpenSer then Asterisk resends the CANCEL many times because it ignores the 200 OK from OpenSer. I think this is an OpenSer bug because the 200 OK to the CANCEL contains a To_tag different of the To_tag in the 180 (RFC 3261 in 9.2 says they SHOULD be the same To tag). Hi, using LCR module and modparam("usrloc", "db_mode", 3) I can insert manually entries in "location" table with q value greater than 1.00 (as 2.00 or 50.00). LCR next_contacts() function allows these "extrange" values and respect them (contact with "q" = 50.00 is called before contact with "q" = 2.00). This is not exactly a bug since it's an human error to set an entry in "location" table with "q" value greater than 1.00, but maybe LCR module could ignore values grater than 1.00 and assume 1.00 in these cases? -- Iñaki Baz Castillo

Hi, I have a number of users behind cisco ADSL routers which have ALG on by default, and are causing problems. If I ask the broadband company to add: no ip nat service sip udp port 5060 no ip nat service H225 to the general config on their Ciscos everything works ok, but getting them to change each one individually is a pain, and I know some SIP carriers are working fine even with the ALG on. There are a few errors that happen, one is a 19 second call cut. The invite is sent, authenticated and connected to the PSTN, but when the cisco-gateway sends the 200-OK to say the call is connected things go wrong: 1.2.3.201 = Openser proxy 1.2.3.204 = Cisco gateway 81.1.2.218 = User agent IP. U 1.2.3.204:51431 -> 1.2.3.201:5060 SIP/2.0 200 OK. Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 1.2.3.201;branch=z9hG4bKf233.b0309086.0,SIP/2.0/UDP 81.1.2.218:2020;branch=z9hG4bK-13d1535f. The cisco gateway then keeps sending the 200 OKs because it is not getting the reply, and finally the call times out after 19 seconds and the cisco send a BYE. The full trace is attached. Sometimes this problem does not occur, but the same thing happens with the final BYE, so the useragent sends: BYE sip:202000243999174148@81.241.251.218:2022 SIP/2.0. instead of: BYE sip:202000243999174148@89.202.141.204:5060 SIP/2.0. So openser sends the BYE back to the useragent instead of to the gateway. Sorry for the long mail, and thanks for any pointers. Richard

Hello, the migration of mailing lists to new server is completed. With this change the default domain for mailing lists is "lists.openser.org". However, "openser.org" should still work. If you encounter problems you should address the questions to sysadmin(a)openser.org (you will get bounced because the anti-spam is not in place, but your email will get through once a moderator will check it) -- just for the next two days, to speed things up, you can address the issues to me. Hi Kirti I had the same AttributeError when I did not use the Twisted from SVN but from the download page as tarball. Using the SVN trunk, adding web2 into the setup.py I could avoid that error. Although, I still face my good old error etree.XMLSchemaParseError: Document not valid XML Schema. With all the libraries proposed by Adrian. Strange... Wonder what else it could be...?! Hello all, I'm having problems with ACKs not beeing matched to an ongoing call, thus OpenSER resends a 487 many times. My question is, would OpenSER deny an ACK depending on how the headers are sorted in the packet? Eg. if the VIA-header is found at the end of the packet? How does it actually match the 487 and the ACK? Hi SER users, Has anyone implemented find-me, follow-me with SER? What I mean is, let's say a user 1111 is dialed but he is not available so would SER be able to dial out N numbers, sequentially or in parallel, stored in a 'profile' of 1111. If the 'profile' of 1111 has following: 1: 2221 2: 2222 3: 2223 4: 2224 5: 2225 SER would start with the 1st and and keep going until the call is answered or all 5 have been tried. Wondering if such a call control function would need a B2BUA, and which one would come with such a call control function? Thanks so much, Umer

Hi all. I am installing openSer Head revision (24-10-2007) with openXcap and I am facing some strange problems I didn´t had before with some previous versions. One possibility is that those problems (already posted here) are related to the revision of svn I downloaded. Can somebody tell me a recent revision of openSer code that is more or less stable? Hi, I am having problems using OpenXCAP and somehow need to make it work. I set it up on a RHEL 4 machine, and followed all the steps listed on the openxcap installation page. Now when I run the openxcap process, It shows that the process has started and the twisted framework is listening on port 8000, but whenever I add a contact on Eyebeam where remote storage is enabled to XCAP, I get a message that Eyebeam could not add the contact due to failed authentication. I have enabled Use SIP credentials in the storage settings on XCAP. My XCAP Root URi in the config file for OpenXCAP is http://10.203.144.172/xcap-root/ while in Eyebeam it is http://10.203.144.172:8000/xcap-root/. There are no traces shown in syslog for OpenXCAP when it receives a message. Is there anyway to get detailed traces for openXCAP. Also it may be possible that Eyebeam supports only https, but I do not wish to use https. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello, in the following days will start the migration of openser.org site to a new server. That might bring some outages of the web site and mailing list -- I hope won't happen, but in case will do, please wait for a while and try again. SVN and the rest hosted on sourceforge won't be affected. Hi, In this scenario: User agents: UA1-192.168.1.1 UA2-192.168.1.2 UA3-192.168.1.3 All register with internal proxy: Openser-192.168.1.20 -> Nat-1.2.3.4 -> Termination server. Openser contacts the terminating server using the UAC module. On the internal Openser I record-route all calls to make sure the whole dialog passes over the proxy to be able to do accounting. However if I do: record_route_preset("1.2.3.4:5060"); and 1.2.3.4 is a dynamic IP address it seems it will be tricky to keep the record route updated. Is the answer that I need not be doing a record-route at all, as all packets will pass over the proxy anyway due to the UAC module, or is there some way to use records-route-preset with dynamic ip addresses? Hi. I am trying to install HEAD svn version of OpenSer. After 'make install' including some modules , I tried to create the Data Base with '/usr/local/sbin/openserdbctl create' But this is not working, that is the log: : command not foundser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 33: 'usr/local/lib/openser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 57: syntax error near unexpected token ` 'usr/local/lib/openser/openserctl/openserdbctl.mysql: line 57: `prompt_pw() /usr/local/sbin/openserdbctl: line 239: openser_create: command not found I have read the script and I don't see anything wrong, It is strange because I tried with former versions of OpenSer and I had no problem. Hi, I have Openser 1.1 with Mediaproxy terminating calls to a AS5350 Cisco gateway. Everything works fine, except when the PSTN party terminates the call. The cisco gateway then sends a bye message to the user-agents internal IP address instead of to the sip proxy's ip address. I'm looking through the SER 2.0 documentation, and I'm trying to find out more information about load_attrs. Currently, I can't look at the module search thing, so I'm not sure where this function comes from, and there's no documentation about it. I know what it DOES.... but I'm trying to find out if there's a way to use it to load attributes from tables other than the usr_attrs table. We like to have compartmentalised tables that are more logical in their outlay, so we'd like to keep some attributes elsewhere. We're also concerned that, with a LARGE number of users each with a LARGE number of attributes and aliases and subattributes, etc, the performance will degrade (MySQL doesn't do as well with enormous tables as it does with smaller tables of data). As AVPs are going out of style, is there, then a way to store attributes in other locations and yet still use the basic functions with them? Our current SER 0.9.6 setup uses several tables to store important information compartmentalised accordingly -- call return information, aliases, etc. As we migrate from one server to another (an ongoing, but slow process for us), we're still trying to ensure no functionality is lost. We don't use xml-rpc calls. We don't use the old command-line serctl calls. We don't want to. We use straight db access from the web services for any and all functions to change settings -- easier to manage the codebase for. With this in mind, everything we do is focused on a migration that allows us to keep a logical relational database structure that is accessed through native calls.

Hello list, I have encountered an issue with OpenSER 1.3 and the Presence module. I have had this problem a month ago, then I downgraded to OpenSER 1.2 where the problem does not occur. Now, I want to try it out once again, and I still face the issue, so I come to you. Hi all: I have install serweb with ser successful before. Now I want to install serweb with openser, and I use the steps as same as what I do before with ser. However, the admin and user index can show on the web browser, but no matter what I do, I can't login successful(it seems the page still loading but never finish). I have fixed the database's name and password in the config_data_layer.php, and all the requirements serweb need I already install(such as DB, classkit). Please kindly advice, thank you very much. Hi, is possible to compile and install OpenSer in same directory estructure as Debian packages? I mean: /usr/sbin/openser* /usr/lib/openser/modules/ /etc/openser/ I could copy /etc/init.d/openser from Debian and use option "-f /etc/openser" but I'd like to know if there is a "cleaner" way. The software is developed and has been tested on Debian unstable using the following versions: - libxml2: 2.6.28.dfsg-1 - python: 2.4.4-6 - python-lxml: 1.1.2-1 - twisted: 2.5.0 - python-application: 1.0.9 - python-gnutls: 1.1.1 If you get it working on a different distribution than Debian I would appreciate feedback about the system type and library versions installed to help other people with the same problems. Hi All, currently we are trying to use SER release ser-2.0.0+cvs20071022. While using ser_mysql.sh to create database schema we are facing some problems. First is that, on running the script it gives error as " hn:r:w:p:P:ts:u:vkq:: Command not found" and secondly there is no provision for creating subscriber table in that script. plz help me resolving these issues.. thanx in advance.... [OpenSER-Users] How to get openser_mysql.sh in SVN trunk?

Hi, I've installed SVN trunk version but can't find openser_mysql.sh after compile most of modules (including of course mysql). That script doesn't exist in the compiled sources. I suppose I can't use 1.2 version of this script. What should I do? Thanks a lot. -- Iñaki Baz Castillo

I haven't had any problems with large tables [yet], but I really want to avoid them (I'm expecting to have a major growth on the amount of subscribers I have and therefore I'd have a really big usr_preferences table. Is there another way I could create a table (apart from usr_preferences) and read from it so I can set some sort of variables in ser.cfg???? Thanks, Roderick

Have you had mysql issues with large attr table? I think it would take some hacking to do it the way you are suggesting, but it should not be so hard. Basically it should query * and generate AVPs named as the columns. I went looking for a carrier which I could use to do some testing with, and I wound up signing up for a VoicePulse account. I didn't realize that they don't or won't support IP authorization and they force all their users to REGISTER to their inbound proxy server. Is there a way to make OpenSER do this? Or am I out of luck (and money)? -Daniel

My testbed is built on Ubuntu 7.04 and OpenIMScore, with openser(including mysql, presence, presence_xml and mi_xmlrpc module) and openxcap. Each component seems working fine according to syslog. But I am wondering how can I exactly know they integrate well? I was running this testbed without openxcap to test presence using the following openser config(config 1). Notify request from openser is ok. However, the notify request disappears after shifting to integration of openser and openxcap(see config 2), and subscription state is 'pending' rather than 'active' as seen when testing without openxcap. Hello all, I am noticing that OpenSER relays an INVITE and the packet that is sent out is clipped. You can see in the following packets that the forwarded packet is missing a few bytes from the SDP part. Counting the bytes shows that the outgoing packet is always 1512 bytes. Hi, for now I just have found a SIP device (Kphone) where I can choose "q" value for registration. I'd like to know if it's common to find SIP devices sending a "q" value. As I've seen, most of them send nothing so I use my "default_q" value 500 (0,5 in fact). In case there are comon devices sending a "q" in registration, what value is that "q"? Hi! Currently I have users stored in DB with lower case letters. But I want to allow my user to use upper case letters as well. But this does not work as avp_db_load is case sensitive. Is there a way to handle avp_db_load case insensitive? thanks klaus

Hi, if modparam("tm", "noisy_ctimer", 1) and INVITE exceded "fr_inv_timer" then OpenSer sends "408 Request Timeout" to caller and CANCEL to called. I'm sure this is correct according to RFC, but wouldn't be better replying with "480 User not responding"? For example, Asterisk does nothing if it receives "408 Request Timeout" (it ignores it). I've reported about about it: http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=11058 Sure it's a fail of Asterisk who shoud accept "408" and terminate the call, but anyway, wouldn't be correct to reply with "480" instead of "408"? Maybe a new module parameter that could substitue ping_nated_only with the following values: 0 : ping all contacts 1 : ping contacts with nat flag on 2 : ping contacts with sipping_bflag on just my 2c. Hi all. I have a problem starting mi_xmlrpc module. This is my configuration: My system is a CentOS 5. OpenSER revision 2327, as suggested in http://uctimsclient.berlios.de/xcap_server_howto.html. xmlrpc-c-0.9.10 correctly installed. xmlrpc-c-devel-0.9.10-1.i386.rpm installed but with nodeps because it didn´t find dependencies installed without RPMs. Starting openSer I get this: Oct 23 07:50:21 localhost openser: ERROR: load_module: could not open module </usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mi_xmlrpc.so>: /usr/local/lib/openser/modules/mi_xmlrpc.so: undefined symbol: ConfReadServerFile I have checked mi_xmlrpc.so and that symbol is undefined. Any idea of what is wrong? Thanks a lot. Note: some weeks ago I successfully installed this same version of openSER in a similar machine but It broke L, so I know it can be done. I must be missing something.

Hello all, I am trying to find a way to turn off nat pinging from Openser during runtime. Here is the problem: openser1 replicates registrations to openser2 which is working as a stand-by. Openser1 sends OPTIONS pings to all nated clients. When either of the two servers receive a replicated REGISTER, it saves it without setting the sipping_bflag. So openser2 will not send unecessary OPTIONS pings. However openser2 sends 4 byte pings to all nated clients.
