Hello, I was wondering if users out there would be willing to share what mechanism they have found success with in regards to capturing cdrs at a high rate. We recently ran into some problems writing CDRs to a postgres database. Openser threads seemed to block which led to incoming messages not being processed in a timely manner. Hello all, I am having some trouble geting Openser 1.2 to work. It crashes pretty much immediately. I have tried it successfully on a test system but as soon as I start it in the production environment, it crashes. Any ideas? Thank you for any help. Hi All, Can I account via IP address of the client? I have one client using a sip pbx appliance. they are using me as a gatewyay using one of my sip extension. I acocunt their calls based on the calls from that extension. But can i also do it such a way that he does need an extension from me, he will just send everything to me and i'll process it via his IP address. Hi, I can get an SER proxied CFU(serial forking) working ok for registered users with their corresponding data populated in the "usr_preferences" table. Hi, I have managed to get Call Fwd Unconditional working by making the SER re-route the call to a different from that of the original INVITE by simply using the lookup table "usr_preferences" of the Mysql server. However, am unable to get "Call Fwd On No Answer" work despite having the mentioned table populated with CFNA. The server sends CANCEL ok but does not generate a new INVITE after that. The serctl tool seems to be non-functional in 2.0.0, could somehow explain how one is supposed to get list of in-memory contacts from the usrloc module in 2.0.0? In general it would be nice to have some "migration guide" started in WiKi so that people could share information like this. Personally I've spend quite lot of time migrating my 0.9.6 config to 2.0.0 and have quite few tips to share. Thanks for any hints! -Maxim

Hi All, This ser installation was working fine and I can't figure out why its not working now. I'm getting an error (see last log line) every time I attempt a call to local users. Calling out to PSTN works great. ngrep reveals that SER is not sending any messages to the callee location. There are 2 registered local users, one registered twice. I have no idea what is going on. Ok, let me see if I've got this right. I'm running SER and Asterisk on the same box. SER listens on the external IP of the box on port 5060, Asterisk on localhost (127.0.0.1) on port 5061. My starting point to get calls from SER able to use the real world is the SER PSTN gateway in the Getting Started document, with route[5] changed to: route[5] { rewritehostport("127.0.0.1:5061"); avp_write("i:45", "inv_timeout"); route(1); } I start SER and add accounts 306, 307 and 499. So far … [View More]so good, and when I get it all up and running, SIP phones can call other SIP phones via SER. Now, if I read right, I then need to tell SER that 127.0.0.1 is a trusted account by doing INSERT INTO trusted VALUES('127.0.0.1', 'any', '^sip:.*$'); in mysql, and restarting SER. I can still dial between internal phones and that is all OK, but I cannot dial via asterisk. I don't even see calls getting there. If I then add into the trusted table the IP addresses of SIP clients, I can dial from them via asterisk. But I have to do this for every client. This is fine if there are only a limited number of IP addresses that can use the asterisk gateway, but I have users with laptops in the real world whose IP addresses change so it's obviously not an ideal solution. What am I missing? Is the Call Forwarding setup the answer? I need to use SER as a front end to asterisk because of NAT issues, but I don't want to have to add EVERY user to the trusted table individually. Hi! Let's assume I have a load balancer which distributes (using hash over R-URI) calls to 4 proxies. Further, ds_mark_dst() is used to marked broken proxys. Marking a destination as inactive - does this change the routing completely (as if there were only 3 proxies in the config file) or will it still hash over the 4 proxies, but choose automatically the second entry in the resulting list if the result is the inactive proxy? regards klaus

Hi Friends, In SER I am subscribing and i am getting 202 Ok also notify but the publish method data is is not coming to me with notify although after sending publish i am getting 200 Ok. Can any one suggest me regarding this. Thanks and Regards, Ambed

Hello, The proper way to send Publish messages is described in RFC 3903 (see section 4.1 for event refreshing event state publication). There was problem that sudo didn't propagate LD_LIBRARY_PATH settings or it did, but linker didn't care or something like that. Does your ser binary has setuid/setgid bit set? In this case linker may ignore the LD_LIBRARY_PATH settings too. You can try to add the path /usr/local/lib/ser to your /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig. This might help... Dear all, i'm trying to have call pickup with SER (i use ser 0.9.6), i mean i'd like to have the capability to pick up a call that is directed to another user while the other user telephone is ringing. Is there someone that suceeded in this features? If it is not possible to get this feature by configuriation of ser (i mean using already present ser functions), is there someone that can suggest how to implemente such features? Maybe the use of fifo could help, in particular i saw the ctd.sh example that is able to iniziate a call for two users using t_uac_dlg fifo function. I tryed to use t_uac_dlg to send a CANCEL to a transaction in progress (in the 180 ringing status) (taking by hand parameters like Call-ID, tag, branch etc.), but it seems that t_uac_dlg is not able to interact with the transaction in progress because it creates one different transaction. Hi! I've noticed that (at least on my boxes) x-lite uses a different source-port for the sip-connection than the one that is announced in the Via-header. (See the example below.) Hi guys, I'm having a problem about asterisk dropping calls received from OpenSER The problems was spotted at Asterisk users mailing lists http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2007-April/184875.html Asterisk complains about an ACK not received and drops the calls.
