Hello, I have question regarding of call forking on kamailio. Maybe somebody can help me. Then I add "Additional_numbers" to the routing, and generate INVITE to "Additional_numbers" and 1 number. (always) set r-uri ($ru) to first destination (2 number) set r-uri ($ru) to second destination (3 number) set r-uri ($ru) to Third destination (1 number) set r-uri ($ru) to n destination How could this be done? Body formats for filter_body()

Hello all, A couple years ago the function filter_body() from textops would only work with "application/sdp" if the string on the body was "Content-Type: application/sdp\r\n". It would fail if there wasn't a space after ":" and it would fail if there was present "\r\n\r\n" instead of "\r\n". Is this the actual behaviour of the function or has it been changed to also identify SDP in the formats mentioned above? Best Regards,

Collecting stats from Kamailio.cfg using Kamailio_exporter Prometheus

Hi, I'm using Kamailio version 5.3.7 with DISPATCHER module and I would like to integrate my kamailio with a kamailio_exporter for monitoring using Prometheus server. Is it possible to collect data such as the number of total calls (inbound, outbound) and plot time-graphs using those stats? not able to display number in SCA module

Hello All, I am using sca module to handle SLA presence and I am using sca.update_appearance RPC command to update the display name. kamcmd sca.update_appearance sip:215@voice.example.com 3 held KELVIN after executing the above command I am getting the KELVIN name on my Polycom phone display but I want to also update the display number so is there any way to update the display number for SLA presence using the SCA module

Hi All, I've been using Kamailio as a proxy for asterisk (with public ips), everything was fine until i've changed the setup to private ips for asterisk. What I did so far: - Kamailio and rtpengine are on a box with 1 public IP. - Asterisk containers on private ips each asterisk has 2 trunks ( 1trunk voip provider 1trunk the Proxy). What works: - Proxy registrations and sip signaling works. What it does not work: - On the asterisk I got only on rtp connexion, my guess is that has something to do with the SDP, asterisk put the private ip in the SDP header. RTPengine is configured using this guide https://github.com/sipwise/rtpengine Can you have a look at the kamailio config, i think i am missing something or do something wrong. Can Kamailio help with this?

Hi. I've been aware of Kamailio, and on this list, for several years, but so far I have not implemented Kamailio for any purpose. I wonder if it could be a suitable tool for the following scenario. I currently use Asterisk to register as a client, with username and password, to other SIP PBXs in order to receive calls. As far as the other PBX is concerned, Asterisk looks like a SIP telephone on a particular extension. However, Asterisk's SIP client capabilities are limited to handling phone calls only, and it specifically cannot receive presence information about the state of other extensions from the remote PBX. So, could Kamailio be used in the path between Asterisk and the remote PBX so that the registration on the PBX comes from Kamailio (with any incoming calls being passed to Asterisk), but with Kamailio also receiving presence information from the remote PBX and making this available to some script or application (which I would expect to have to write)? The main point is that I don't want to have two things registering to the remote PBX, one for calls and one for presence, so I'm looking for a way to register with something which understands presence, and can also pass calls on to Asterisk. Can anyone suggest whether Kamailio could do this, and if so, point me at some resources to help me get started; or alternatively suggest ideas on some other tool which might be more appropriate than Kamailio? Kamailio Stop Processing Call

Hello Members, I have kamailio setup backed with mysql db, using db_cluster module for spliting read and write.. Lisiting on three different virtual ips are bind with same/single udp port *1* for processing calls. One static IP is bind with udp port*2* to for processing/response to option messages send from keepalived external script after every few seconds and for DMQ messages from other kamailio node. General configuation details: children=16 fork=yes listen=udp:VIP:SIP_PORT1 listen=udp:VIP2:SIP_PORT1 listen=udp:VIP3:SIP_PORT1 listen=udp:StaticIP3:SIP_PORT2 listen=tcp:SIP:RPC_PORT SH_MEM=5012 PRIV_MEM=264 System Specification : 24 GB RAM, 12 CPUs Sometimes kamailio radomly stop processing the requests or give no response on new requests recevied on virtual ips and as well it did't show any error in syslog. To monitor the kamailio memory I used promethues ( https://github.com/florentchauveau/kamailio_exporter) The moment kamailio stop processing the requests it also stop responding to kamailio exporter and scrap request get timeout. i.e error log on console debian prometheus-kamailio-exporter[83440]: 2021/05/20 12:15:27 [error] cannot read header: read unix @->/tmp/kamailio__ctl: i/o timeout After getting first timeout occurrence of kamailio-exporter scrap request, kamailio processed sip messages for almost 30 seconds then completly stop replying to any message. But it keep replying to option message arrive on different port from keepalived script. Video transcode for doorbell

I have a SIP video doorbell device that is only capable of sending H264 and MJPEG video. The site is using 3CX and its associated mobile app, which only supports VP8 and VP9. Without properly reading the documentation, I went ahead and set up kamailio and rtpengine to sit in between the doorbell and 3CX. I has assumed rtpengine was capable of transcoding video as well as audio, however upon proper inspection it appears that isn't the case. Is there a kamailio module that is capable of video transcoding, even if it isn't real time, or at a reduced framerate? As the application is a doorbell, it doesn't need to be perfect. Eternal config - Kamailio and rtpengine

I use lxc containers with asterisk wich their are connecting to kamailio, so far so good they work when i put the containers with public ips, but when i switched to private ip I have one-way audio. Hi guys, I'm trying to build a deb file of kamailio 5.4 and when doing dpkg-buidpackage it gave a bunch of dependency warnings. Permissions sometimes does not find group

Hello all, I am having some trouble with Permissions module of Kamailio, regarding the allow_source_address_group() function. In 99.9% of the cases the IP of our partner is allowed as expected, but randomly it can fail (returning -1 for the same IP address that was allowed for many other calls in the meantime). I can’t understand why it fails and why only « sometimes » - I confirm this append on the same Kamailio box, with same IP and Port of the partner. In my custom logs: « X.X.X.X:YYYY is allowed through group Z » —> as expected and sometimes (like 1% of the cases): « X.X.X.X:YYYY is not allowed - allow_source_address_group returned -1» It is maybe to note that in the address table, this range is defined as /24 and not /32. Until now it never happened on /32 defined address but I don’t know if it can be correlated. Would someone have a clue on this? Hi, I have been investigating distributing incoming/outgoing SIP traffic to behind Kamailio SIP servers in order to scale and other advantages too!. SRV type distribution is not a good option, it is already tested. So, I am trying to deploy Kamailio as a *LoadBalancer* in Tier1 , so it distributes traffic backbone Kamilio servers in Tier 2. There is a good presentation as follows, actually I want to implement it. https://www.kamailio.org/events/2013-KamailioWorld/23-Daniel-Constantin.Mie… However, I could not find sample configurations and sample study ! Would you show me sample configurations that Kamailio uses as a Load Balancer if you have it. Current Kamailio responsibilities in my system are: 1. Registar Server 2. Presence Server 3. What I don't understand is, to download the packages I necessarily need the internet. Do I have to use two network interfaces for the same virtual machine in order to access the internet and make the DNS configuration locally with the second interface? Hunting Kamailio.cfg for Voice termination System

Hi, I am looking to get a complete kamailio.cfg file that I can use to set up a voice termination system. This system will only connect with peers making multiple simultaneous calls, registering strictly via ip, accounting calls to sql db, capable of multiple rate tables for the different peers, call control, CDR tool and billing capable and call routing to multiple media servers. I am willing to try to build this myself but at this time I do not even understand why I need to use "record_route" or "t_precheck_trans" -- :)). I am a lover of information and cannot find a simple enough text to help in my kamailio journey -- unlike asterisk. loose_route() and FQDN

Hello, I saw there are some topics on this already and carefully walked through all of them, but can't solve following issue. For a reason I do need that in Record-Route header sent to endpoint would present FQDN. If it matters, it's UDP/WSS conversion done on Kamailio. So, scheme is quite simple Enpoint A ->UDP-> Kamailio ->WSS-> Endpoint B (NAT) Main issue here, that if in Record-Route headers it's FQDN, but not IP addresses, on a new transactions with a dialog (ACK on 200, PRACK, BYE), Kamailio*loose_route()* function resolves address of destination not current dialog, but actual R-URI (or itself, if R-URI is something from WebRTC world) that is not correct due to NAT. If in RR headers IP addresses are present - all is working as expected. Setting $conid per branch

Hi all, I'm currently adding a feature to our Kamailio configuration to fork calls based on user agent. To do so I'm getting the registered endpoints with reg_fetch_contacts() iterating through and matching on them, then using seturi() / append_branch() and setting the dst-uri and flags as required. However, calls are intermittently going to the wrong TCP connection, despite the logs showing the correct destination IP and port in the ONSEND route. Looking in the location table I can see each registration has a connection_id, and the debug log indicates it's finding the connection by ID: DEBUG: <core> [core/tcp_main.c:1651]: _tcpconn_find(): found connection by id: 3 Is there a way to set the conid per branch? Greetings, I would like to know if it is possible to get the value of $DLG_lifetime before the BYE hits loose_route(). opensips provides a similar function which lets you get dialog life. https://opensips.org/html/docs/modules/3.1.x/dialog.html#func_load_dialog_c… But i could not get the same from kamailio or maybe kamailio has a better way for this? Hi, We're trying to upgrade from 5.3.X to 5.4.5 however kamailio will not start and produces the following error, despite the db_url being set in the config and printed in the logs: Bad config - you can not call 'handle_publish' function (db_url not set) Looking at the code this error only seems plausible if the *pres_library_mode* is set to 1 here <https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio/blob/cc2a9518207e36b7b18aef5c8714f0c21…> but we don't see the corresponding "switch to library mode" message in the debug logs which leaves me a bit stuck - I've included the grepped logs at the bottom of the message. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this issue? I've seen a previous issue relating to interactions between presence and presence_xml which we're also using, but it looks like this was fixed in an older version. bogus event with terminated dialogs with late 200ok responses

Hello all using kamailio version 5.4.4, we are seeing some errors like CRITICAL: dialog [dlg_hash.c:1205]: next_state_dlg(): bogus event 3 in state 5 (with BYE) for dlg 0x7f6ca2304b48 [15135:39671] with clid '00463385_20210512_002_HPRA_1.1.4.40.sp3_7532_0_54533900281' and tags 'Out-55089-0000000CB27947F9' '170cB11c48vmj' which seem to be generated when we receive a BYE from the remote UA but we were expecting an ACK also, For example INVITE ----------> <---------------183 <---------------200 BYE -------------> (no ACK) <--------------200 <--------------200 .... so the b2bua (freeswitch) keeps retransmitting the 200ok, and on each 200ok retransmission we are getting this type of message. These seem to be like race conditions since 200/BYE flow almost at the same time, and as I understand, the UA should send the ACK. Kamailio as front proxy for multiple sip servers

Hello! I am trying to config one kamailio as reverse proxy for a bunch of internal (no internet address) separate asterisk sip instances (per domain). The kamailio server would be the only with the valid IP address, so would use rtpengine to force to be in the media path. Like this scenario: https://opensips.org/pipermail/users/2020-August/043610.html I have used as starting point this very basic config: https://blog.voipxswitch.com/2015/03/27/kamailio-basic-sip-proxy-all-reques… Basically just added rtpproxy support, and voilà, inter-SIP is working, media always passing into the proxy. The problem: I would have WebRTC phones connecting too. I tried setting WSS up in kamailio, and asterisk (pjsip) wouldn't know how to send the message to the proxy: on register it has trasnport=wss in the contact: header, looks like it is confusing the asterisk. So, I resort for the wisdom of the list :) What would be the good-best-path to take here, hack the header, or put the webphones registering directly on the asterisks (with a nginx reverse proxy maybe)? Someone must have already made a blog with such setup, but I could not google-unearth it at least until now. Regards, -- Eliphas

Unable to parse the Cancel request

Hello! I'm testing call recording with Rtpengine. It works fine when the "record-call=on" flag is added to the *rtpengine_offer* or *start_recording* is used in the *request_route*. But I was wondering if the call recording can be managed by a separate application. So I add the following lines to the *event_route[xhttp:request]* and triggered it with an HTTP request after the call was established. In reality I would like to monitor only the client legs, but I'm having problems, so I'm enabling OPTIONS on all legs. On the ClientA legs, I see OPTIONS going from kamailio to both freeswitch and the client. But on the ClientB legs i don't see any OPTIONS at all. Can someone point me in the right direction to enable it on all legs? Hello guys, I'm trying to do the following: On INVITE, i add a param to RR "wsconnid" which is the connection id of the WS socket. Afterwards, i get an OPTIONS including said param. Next I want to retrieve the param and check if the connection is alive. Dialog server behind proxy and ka_timer/ka_interval

Hello guys, So i have a setup where client | V (WS) [proxy (no dialog tracking)] | V [dialog server] | V [proxy (no dialog tracking)] (WS) | V client I'd like to know when any of the clients are not available (i.e.: crashed, shutdown unexpectedly. etc), so i enabled on the dialog server ka_timer/ka_interval. I see the OPTIONS going to the proxy when the call starts, and the proxy replying with 200 OK. If i shutdown the client, i see the OPTIONS still going, but the proxy is still responding. I assume the Proxy (kamailio) is simply responding to an OPTIONS message and not actually trying to resend it to the client. Development for v5.5.x is frozen

Hello, the formal notification that the development for the next major version 5.5.0 is now frozen. The focus has to be on testing the master branch. Also, the master branch should not get commits with new features till the branch 5.5 is created, expected to happen in 2-4 weeks, a matter of how testing goes on. Meanwhile, the commits with new features in the C code can be pushed to personal branches, new pull requests can still be done, but they will be merged after branching 5.5. Can still be done commits with documentation improvements, enhancements to related tools (e.g., kamctl, kamcmd), merging exiting pull requests at this moment, exporting missing KEMI functions and completing the functionality of the new modules added in 5.5. Once the branch 5.5 is created, new features can be pushed again to master branch as usual. From that moment, the v5.5.0 should be out very soon, time used for further testing but also preparing the release of packages. If someone is not sure if a commit brings a new feature, just make a pull request and it can be discussed there on github portal or via sr-dev mailing list. To-Tag on Register Refresh method

Hello all, I'm using Kamailio as a registrar and i have an endpoint that sometimes sends a REGISTER method with a To-Tag when refreshing its regist. My code on this proxy shares many similarities with the default kamailio.cfg configuration file. On that occasion Kamailio answers with a 404 - Not Here since it treats it as a in-dialog request which fails the loose_route check. Why would a CPE send a REGISTER with a To-Tag? Why is a REGISTER with a To-Tag rejected by Kamailio when it could otherwise be a successful REGISTER? Is this behaviour noncompliant with the SIP protocol? I thought about making an exception in the code and having this register following the same path as a register without to-tag, but i don't know if that is unsafe and/or noncompliant with the protocol. Does context need to be set in replies too? If so, is reply context the same as the corresponding request context? how to turn off memory debug messages?

In config file I have: debug=2 mem_summary=0 Still I get 3400+ memory related syslog message when Kamailio terminates due to sqlops not been able to connect to mysql server. According to core cookbook, memdbg and memlog should not be active when their values are greater than debug value (they default to 3) and mem_summary=0 should disable printing of memory debugging info. What is it that I'm still missing? -- Juha

Supposedly, it works on Linux, Windows, and anywhere you can compile pjproject on.It makes a call, checks all the various resulting values (mos, rtt, pdd, tta, jitter, packet loss, bytes and packets transferred, and so on). Hello, the branch 5.5 was created, therefore the master branch is open for adding new features, to be part of future release series v5.6.x (or whatever version is decided for next series). Any bug fix committed to master that applies to 5.5.x or older stable branches should be backported as usual with "git cherry-pick -x ..." to appropriate branches like 5.5 or 5.4. Expect that v5.5.0 will be released in a few weeks from now. Based on the workflow used during the past years, the next future release v5.6.0 should be out after another 6-10 months of development, plus 1-2 months of testing, so sometime by end of 2021 or in the first part of 2022. Reminding again about private/direct emails from mailing lists discussions

A lot of emails are still sent directly to me after a discussion started on public mailing lists (subject with mailing lists prefix, but the sender header is not the mailing list daemon), I would like to remind that, at least in my case, writing emails directly without cc-ing the mailing list is highly not recommended and there is practically 0 chance to get an answer from myself. The rule is also suggested in the mailing lists presentation page: - https://www.kamailio.org/w/mailing-lists/ Unless I asked explicitly for a private email with some specific details, the message will not be noticed in decent time and therefore not replied. I use this email address for many public mailing lists and it is intended only for that usage, I am reacting based on the filters I created, unmatched messages getting the lowest priority. Therefore if you wrote me and expect a response, re-send the message to the appropriate public mailing list. Checking and answering the messages on Kamailio mailing lists are among the top of priorities on my daily activity, so it is high chance you get the response faster when you write there. Note that you can always mask sensitive data (e.g., replace passwords, IP addresses) before sending logs or config file. There are several common sense as well as technical reasons for keeping the discussion on public mailing lists. Here are some along with other suggestions to improve the likeliness of getting an answer: - we are not answering questions on mailing lists to help only one person, but also other people that may have similar issues in the future -- they can find the answers in the archive with a search engine. Also, other people subscribed to the list can learn from conversation or contribute to the discussion, resulting in better outcome - the amount of unexpected messages is very high -- it is practically a zero chance to get to the folder with messages that didn't match any filter (thus your message is not going to be replied) - whenever I find time, the first emails I answer are those coming on mailing lists. There might be many unanswered as well, people are travelling or having other personal or business projects, so sometime is good to send a reminder if a question does not get an answer - starting with negative approach or no technical content, like you are going to use something else if you don't get a reply instantly, or this application not good or is missing what so ever tutorial giving exactly the solution you need, or simply asking for full config of complex requirements, is not helping at all, but actually making people to ignore your messages. Start with what you tried and where you got stuck. Everything you get is for free, have appropriate expectation and behavior. Branching 5.5 on git repo for 5.5.x releases

Hello, since freezing the development for 5.5 series, I did quite a lot of code analyzing with a bunch of tools as well as run various tests, no major issue being in my list at this moment, therefore I think we can plan branching 5.5 on git repo in the near future. If there is no other suggestion or argument against it, I propose to create the branch 5.5 on Thursday next week (April 22, 2021). After that, master branch will be open for new features (to become part of 5.6 or what ever version will be decided to be next), testing will continue for branch 5.5 for another 1-2 weeks, then we will release 5.5.0 as first stable version in the 5.5.x series. For example, Invite is sent to Kamailio and Kamailio replies with a Forbidden, in homer only the Invite and the ACK would appear. So any scenario that the Invite has the final answer locally on Kamailio would not appear the reply in Homer. In a normal scenario if we have some mapping for example from 487 to 480 in the onreply_route { .... change_reply_status(480,"Temporary unavailable"); ..... } in homer it will appear that Kamailio received the 480 instead of the 487, so basically siptrace is reporting the message after being change instead of the original message received. Create accounta with multiple DIDs

I am novice in the area and i have a Kamailio basic setup where i create users and each user can call each other. No connection to an ITSP. i am trying to simulate things and need to send multiple numbers to each user. For example i have users 1000-1003. I need each user to have a range of 100 numbers (fake since it ia not connected anywhere) and routed to all the other users as well. The idea is to connect Asterisk servers and each one have a registered account 1000-1003. Then each Asterisk's extension have a particular DID and call another Asterisk server to a different DID. Off course this will go through Kamailio. Now i call from one Asterisk to the other by using the 1000-1003 and it works. But i need the DID routing

Hello, a notification to inform about a regression to the AVPs with the integer IDs that was introduced in the v5.4.5 release when trying to fix an issue reported from a static code analyzer/fuzzer. The workaround is to use string names for AVPs, so if you have AVPs like $avp(i:123), they can be changed to $avp(s:123) in the kamailio.cfg (ie., replace i: with s: ). Regression is already fixed in the git branch 5.4, so if you install it from there, all should be ok. potential PRACK related topos bug

Test topology using K 5.4 where topos module is loaded in Proxy1: A - Proxy1 - Proxy2 - Proxy1 - B A sends INVITE, B responds with 183 Session Progress, and A sends PRACK. The result is that PRACK starts to loop in second Proxy1 instance instead of being forwarded to B. If topos module is not loaded in Proxy1, it forwards PRACK to B as it should. Also, if Proxy1 loads topos module, but A does not send PRACK, other in-dialog requests (e.g. BYE) work fine. -- Juha

Hello, We have been using the kamailio-python plugin with kamailio, running on CentOS 7. The RPM for the kamailio-python plugin has a requirement on the python36 package. I'm curious if it's possible to run kamailio with the kamailio-python plugin with python 3.7 or if python 3.6 is required. If it is possible to use the kamailio-python plugin with python 3.7, would we need to create our own RPM with a requirement on python37 or is there another way we could set it up? Hi all, I'm trying in KEMI & Python to set a Pseudo Variable to the value of another PV (simple enough) but the value of the PV is not a string or an integer, For example the SMSops <https://github.com/kamailio/kamailio/tree/master/src/modules/smsops> module has a PV called $smsbody which I need to set the message body to equal in UAC, but I'm not able to load it to set it as the message body, In my Python file I have: smsbody = KSR.pv.get("$smsbody") Which leads to: kamailio[226069]: UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0x91 in position 7: invalid start byte kamailio[226069]: 2(226069) DEBUG: app_python3 [apy_kemi.c:112]: sr_kemi_config_engine_python(): execution of route type 1 with no name returned -1 *Is there a way to set a PV in Kemi without actually interpreting it?* *Is there a way to run an arbitrary line of native Kamailio config from Kemi like KSR.x.modf? * In reality all I need to do is: $uac_req(body) = $smsbody; Would work fine in the native config, but the equivalent in Kemi tries to parse the contents and fails, so can't set the body. Dispatcher and SUBSCRIBE issue

Hi I am using the dispatcher module with Kamailio as a front-end Registrar/LB in front of a cluster of Asterisk boxes. I have come across an issue with SUBSCRIBE messages not getting routed to the correct server in the event that the phone endpoint's dispatch set is changed. It will still go to the old server until such time as the phone is rebooted. The reason this is happening is because the 200 OK in the response from the Asterisk server has Contact set to its own IP:port and subsequent in-dialog reSUBSCRIBE are sent with the original Asterisk ip:port in the RURI. When Kamailio receives these reSUBSCRIBE it does not change the RURI even though ds_select_dst is being called in the [WITHIN_DIALOG] route. My feeling is I have two choices - either alter the Contact in the reply from Asterisk, or, change the RURI manually on receipt of an in-dialog SUBSCRIBE. Has anyone else come across this, or have advice on the best way to handle this? Thanks -- -Barry

They dont like seeing any IP other than our kamailio SBC in the messaging, I changed the contact but I cant find a way to change the owner line in the SDP I have try mangler and SDPOPS to change but neither seem to work on changing or removing the owner line Any ideas? Hi All: I am new to the list, I am struggling to find out Kamailio's capabilities with SIP-I/ISUP. I see that there is SIP-T module in kamailio and ss7ops module, but I need to get a hold on how to start. Phase III clinical trials of Kamailio DMQ

For immediate release: GAINESVILLE, Florida (1 April 2021)--Evariste Systems, in partnership with Posner | Palner Pharmaceuticals, are pleased to announce the eagerly anticipated start of Phase III clinical trials of Kamailio DMQ module replication. In this stage of the investigation of the promising replication scheme, which was developed in record time, DMQ will be tested in a rigourous, double-blind, controlled CI/CD process for large-scale efficacy and continually monitored for safety in shorter and longer terms. The now-concluded second phase established basic safety and Phase 2b entailed a dose-finding study for the optimal number of batched `dmq_usrloc` contacts per kilogram of cloud computing resource. The main cohort of the main sequence of the Phase III trial will enroll 380 randomly selected, statistically representative Floridian SIP registrars and 5700 SIP dialogs, also in the state of Florida. When asked about the disparity in the number of registrars versus dialogs, Alex Balashov of Evariste said, "It is reflective of the small number of SIP registrars in Florida; not to be indelicate, but consider the median age of the population." As previously remarked upon in proceedings of the World SIP Organisation (WSO), the choice of Florida as a venue attracted some questions. We asked Fred Posner of Posner | Palner about the clinical background informing this choice of replication study cohort: "Florida is a good place to find eventual consistency failures; the open climate and reluctance to accept traditional data integrity science would have sealed the deal, but when people started to drink bleach here, I saw an opportunity." Evariste and Posner | Palner are aiming for a US Food & Drug Administration EUA (Emergency Use Authorisation) for DMQ replication as a prophylactic data redundancy and failover measure to ward off the development of moderate to severe viral Sonus Haemorrhagic Fever symptoms. Phase II studies have painted a promising a picture of the DMQ architecture's ability to reduce moderate to severe symptoms and associated 28-day mortality by more than 90%, albeit over a small sample size and in enterprise patients with known pre-existing comorbidities such as Session Border Controller and BroadSoft Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome. Phase III trials seek to bolster quantums of broader efficacy, including efficacy for localised outbreaks of small to medium business softswitch. Of the control group, Balashov said, "They will receive a standard pipe-to-/dev/null placebo protocol, but with identical '200 OK' confirmation messages. We proudly developed this approach in early 2020 in consultation with the highest levels of the Trump presidential administration; it is called TENP, or 'The Emperor's New Potion.' It is a successor to that administration's previous approved placebo protocol, SHTI - Small Hands, Tremendous Initiatives." Despite speculative autism and packet fragmentation claims by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Balashov was quick to provide reassurance about side effects from DMQ in the Phase III trial. Kamailio + Websocket issues

Hi! I'm using Kamaio in front of multiple Asterisk instances. At this moment it works as a SIP over Websocket proxy, with rtpengine, for browser clients to connect to Asterisk using WebRTC. I do not use the registration module of Kamailio, as each backend Asterisk is independent and handles its own registrations. Everything works great when making calls from the browser, and the routing is correctly executed by Kamailio based on the request SIP domain. We have an internal routing API that it calls to discover which backend Asterisk to route the calls. The issue I have is when a call initiates from that backend Asterisk, trying to reach a contact that is connected in Kamailio via the websocket. The Asterisk sends the message to the proxy, and Kamailio must route it to the corresponding websocket. I've tried a few approaches: - using add_contact_alias + handle_ruri_alias: I have the alias with alias=<ip>~<port>~ws in the contact registration, but for some reason handle_ruri_alias cannot use it - using the Path module on Asterisk, so when registering, the path is recorded and sent back from Asterisk, Kamailio is also not respecting that - Using contact_param_encode and contact_param_encode and contact_param_decode_ruri, but the encoded sip address is always the invalid websocket, like sip:58c0ktrg@5hp0nn5hqqv9.invalid;transport=ws None with success. tcp timeout in kamailio

Hi. Is there an option for tcp timeout in kamailio? In my setup we have tcp peers and kamailio pings them every 5 seconds, but when tcp session stucks kamailio not close this session for 15 minutes. I tried many tcp options kamailio supports, but any of them helps. I think kamailio can use TCP_USER_TIMEOUT on linux to detect such tcp sessions and reestablish failed connections?

dispatcher algorithm 11, no more than 25 hosts in group for proper distribution

Hello Community, There is a module dispatcher and sharing algorithm 11 that features the ability to redistribute load when the host is enabled or disabled that is quite valuable for me. In the test lab I faced unexpected behavior: - when I add to group <=25 hosts algorithm behaves as per description. - when a group includes 26 or more hosts, and 100 calls are done for instance, then about 25 go to the first host and 75 are distributed among the rest of hosts. Expected behavior: all hosts of the group having the same rweight value must receive the same amount of calls no mater what number of hosts is in the group. Could you please to help to figure out what is wrong and why when the dispatcher group consists of 26+ hosts dispatching algorithm 11 behaves differently than when group consists of 25 or less of hosts? Strange behavior with $T_branch_idx in failure_route

Hello. We faced an issue that $T_branch_idx called from failure_route returned a strange result. Few words about our setup. We use branch indexes like key in avp when we store via-branch value for rtpengine. route[RTPMANAGE] ... if ( is_request() and is_method("INVITE") and !has_totag() and t_is_branch_route() ) { $avp(viabranch$T_branch_idx) = $branch_str; } $avp(extra_branch_id) = $avp(viabranch$T_branch_idx); $var(rtpkey) = $var(rtpkey) + " via-branch=extra"; ...... rtpengine_manage($var(rtpkey)); Call this route in branch_route and in failure_route. In branch_route T_branch_idx is 0, in failure_route is 1. In documentation: the index (starting with 1 for the first branch) of the branch for which is executed the branch_route[]. If used outside of branch_route[] block, the value is '0'. But in source code behavior is different. (modules/tmx/t_var.c:480): for BRANCH_FAILURE_ROUTE and BRANCH_ROUTE it is idx = tcx->branch_index, but for FAILURE_ROUTE it is idx = t->nr_of_outgoings + nr_branches; Can you describe why for failure_route it is different and what we can do in our case? And can you update documentation for this variable if it is wrong?

Hi, The behaviour of the sdpops module is not fully clear to me. Lets say in the INVITE contains in the m= line the payloads 0 99 but has no a= line for codec 0 / PCMU, Would the sdp_keep_codecs_by_name(“PCMU”) keep PCMU ? What about the case that the INVITE contains in the m=line only the payload 99 but shows an additional a=line for codec 0 / PCMU. Would the sdp_keep_codecs_by_name(“PCMU”) keep PCMU ? If yes, would the extra mtype parameter prevent that? e.g. sdp_keep_codecs_by_name(“PCMU”, mtype) What happens when several m= lines are present? Does sdp_keep_codecs_by_name consider all m=lines ? Are the treated separately? What happens to payloads which are not in the hard-coded list in sdpops_data.c ? Can they be used with the sdpops functions? Thanks for your hints. Dynamic CSEQ Updates

Hey kamailio team, When are the callbacks in the dialog module for updating $dlg_var(cseq_diff) called? I am trying to dynamically enable / disable cseq updates (some specific carriers need it and some don't) by setting $dlg_var(cseq_diff)=$null prior to sending the request but it seems like the callback happens after relaying. For example I tried various locations: - prior to t_relay() - in onreply_route[] - in failure_route[] - in event_route[tm:local-request] - in event_route[tm:local-response] I also tried setting modparam("dialog", "initial_cbs_inscript", 1) and calling dlg_manage() prior to routing and those didn't seem to be the right callbacks either. Either the callback that updates $dlg_var(cseq_diff) occurs after t_relay() / forward() is called or setting $dlg_var(cseq_diff)=$null has no effect. Is dynamically turning CSEQ updates on / off possible by overwriting $dlg_var(cseq_diff)? Or would this require new logic in the dialog module to be supported? Hello, this is the notification to let everybody know that the development of Kamailio v5.5.x series will be frozen at the end of March 31, 2021. Should anyone plan to add new features/modules and be part of v5.5.x, then they must be committed to git master branch or a pull request created by that date. Afterwards, the new features will have to be hold for a few weeks till branch 5.5 is created and development branch unfrozen, and they will be part of the next future release v5.6.x (or other version number to be decided later).
