Possible memory leak dealing with presence in kamailio

Hello all. I'm consistently watching a memory increase in kamailio when dealing with PRESENCE events, namely SIP PUBLISH events. The system eventually hangs running out of memory. This behavior is seen at least in kamailio 4.1 and 4.2. I'm currently using the latest stable 4.2.2. If I disable the SIP PUBLISH handling in kamailio i don't observe the issue anymore but as a side effect I don't have presence (name BLFs) also. What do you think can be the right approach here? Should I open an issue in github for this? Should I run kamailio under valgrind for some time? Are there any other possible debug hints here? Roadmap to next major release 4.3.0

Using MariaDB with sqlops sql_query_async

Does anyone know if the async queries of kamailio work with mariadb? I'm on kamailio 4.2.3, and I can't get the async way of querying to work. I don't get any errors, but I don't see the queries to be executed. the relevant part of my config is: loadmodule "db_mysql.so" loadmodule "sqlops.so" modparam("sqlops","sqlcon","ca=>mysql://kamailio:kamailiorw@localhost /kamailio") sql_query_async("ca", "insert into cdr_events (callid) values ('$ci') "); When just replace sql_query_async with sql_query, I do see inserts passing by. Do I just bluntly miss something? Or does someone have some good pointers? Thx! Davy

Trouble with DB APIs

Hey Everyone! I'm currently working on a database module and I've come across some issues/confusion that I was hoping someone could clear up for me. I've been looking at the existing modules and the docs online for help but I can't find a definitive answer for them. 1. I see there are 2 DB APIs (srdb1 and srdb2) and I gather that srdb2 is the newer version? Should I aim to use srdb2 exclusively or should I also use srdb1? 2. It looks like srdb2 provides a db_uri command that can be used to implement custom URI parsing but I can't figure out how to hook into it. I added it to my exported commands but it was never called. When I looked through the code I saw the only place that ever really uses it is db_ctx, which itself looks to be used in the child_init of modules. I'm developing a database module that I want to be a drop-in replacement for others, but it needs multiple hosts specified in the connection uri (similar to the URI example here http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/connection-string/) and I can't figure out the best place to do it. Should I be doing it in db_func_t.init because it has the full string version of the uri and parse it there? Do I then have to reimplement everything that db_do_init would be doing? 3. Do I need to implement multiple database interfaces to get full module coverage in Kamailio? I was looking at db_berkeley as a reference and it looks like it has the KAMAILIO_MOD_INTERFACE as well as the SER_MOD_INTERFACE implemented. 4. Is there a preferred way to handle the API binding (such as db_ commands vs db_bind_api)? [Kamailio 4.0.6] sometimes route specified by RTIMER module doesn't be executed just after finishing starting Kamailio server

Hello everyone, I got a little trouble on using the RTIMER module. Sometimes the route block I set using the "exec" parameter in RTIMER module doesn't be executed, this will happen from Kamailio server being started, and only work (not always) after restarting server. I have no idea why this happen, does anyone ever met this? Which part should I notice? Thx :)

Presence module for BLF issue

Hi community, I'm dealing with a problem here related to presence module handling BLF. My BLF phones are Yealink T28p with latest firmware and work perfectly with Asterisk and FreeSwitch but not with Kamailio as expected. What I'm observing here is a malfunctioning statuses due to accumulation of multiple entries of just one status in "presentitiy" table. These entries neither get expired not cleared from DB hence I see atleast 21 XML tags combined in the NOTIFY sent to Phones. Here is what I've figured out a manual way to make the BLF work fine again. *Step -1* Make call between two endpoints. see entries in presentitiy table showing up. *Step -2* NOTIFYs sent to phones subscribing those users from Kamailio and phones show correct flashing red BLF lights *Step -3* clear the entries from presentity table manually i.e mysql> truncate presentity; *Step -4* Hangup the phones, presentity table shows few more entries with state='terminated' NOTIFY sent again to subscribers.. BLF lighst turn green happily. Issues while using Kamailio as proxy with Asterisk

Hi All, I am using Kamailio as proxy server with Asterisk but having some issues with Inbound and outbound calls. Asterisk is a registrar, Kamailio is a just for proxy. Using softphone call are working fine but using hardphone, its creating issues. Here are the test cases. Kamailio v4.2.3 Released

At the kamailio console I see output This is output of alg that above. I have 3 devices: 2 websocket devices and 1 udp But when you look at dump where rtpengine make changes with packets you can see that it runs for 4 devices and 1 and 4 devices is the same. You can see start of every branch from words of log "Websocket Branch is" or "UDP Branch is" So this bug gives a mistake because some of hardphones can not handlie double INVITE and kamilio response for this devices cancel with 200 cause because hardphone set 482 reply to kamialio. Hi, Is there a way to set a dialog variable when a BYE is received so that it can be written in a CDR? Get the SDP IP in Kamailio

Hi, since we integrated IPv6 into our existing routing logic, in some cases "fix_nated_sdp" gets called for IPv6 calls, too. (Actually, this just happens because of the mistakenly detected NAT.) But that ends up with a an error in the log. ERROR: nathelper [nathelper.c:1685]: replace_sdp_ip(): not an IPv4 address in 'c=' SDP So I'm looking for a way to exempt IPv6 calls from that. But I can't find a pseudovariable which carries the SDP contact IP. I guess I could take some function from the sdpops module, but is there a more convenient way to get just the contact IP? Understanding t_relay

Hey community, I'm trying to understand t_relay () when a forward times out. This is an abbreviated version of what i have: Request_route { ... Route(do1) } Route [do1] { ... T_on_reply (1reply) T_on_failure (1fail) T_relay () } Reply_route[1reply] { ... If (t_check_status (302)) { Route (do2) } } Failure_route [1fail] { Xlog (dafail1) } Route [do2]{ ... T_on_reply (2reply) T_on_failure (2fail) T_relay () } Reply_route [2reply]{ Xlog (twerked) } Failure_route [2fail]{ Xlog (failured) } The case im currently interested in is when the first relay (do1) returns a 302 and then the second (do2) times out. What happens on the second when it times out, it hits the 1fail failure_route. This messes with my logic as i would've expected (and want to find out how to make it) hit the 2nd failure_route. I also noticed that if i loop and try the do2 again after the first failure it will then hit the 2fail route. Any clarification on this subject would be greatly appreciated, Ryan

One Way RTP from destination SIP server using rtpengine

Hello All, I currently am running Kamailio in a WSS configuration with sipML5. I use rtpengine to convert a RTP/SAVPF packet to a RTP/AVP packet as the destination server only supports AVP or SAVP. RTPEngine has no issues rewriting the packet going out, the SIP session comes up and handshakes correctly to start the session. Then the remote server sends the RTP stream back and I'm having issues getting Kamailio or RTPEngine or something to take the RTP stream, process it back to SAVPF and send it back out the WSS port. I see no RTP data come from Kam/RTPengine going towards the remote server. On the server side, I do see STUN being called and the sipML5 bind successfully but that's it. Both the destination and server sit without firewalls in the way so the problem has to be what I'm doing in Kamailio. There is no apparent pattern, I have managed to repeat the on the 7th, 23rd, and 63rd calls to a test number, where upon connection only audio in the RTP => SRTP direction was working. All other test calls worked as normal. Digging through the RTPEngine log file the only abnormalities I can see are: Discarded invalid SRTP packet: authentication failed entries on the calls that had the one way audio issue. Hello, I'm very disappointed because of the following behaviour: if ($tu=~"^sip:0[1-9]{9}") { [.] In that case, Kamailio returns TRUE because the instructions in the block are executed. } if ($rU=~"^33" || $rU=~"^0033" || $rU=~"^0[1-9]{9}" || $rU=~"^\+33" || $tu=~"^sip:33" || $tu=~"^sip:0033" || $tu=~"^sip:0[1-9]{9}" || $tu=~"^sip:\+33" ) { [.] In that case, Kamailio should return FALSE because the instructions in the block are not executed. } Am I missed something regarding 'OR' ? Kamailio load balansing 2 servers issues

Hello. We use 2 kamailio server 4.3 master brancher for load balansing cluster. We have some problems with this deplooiment fist of all we have REgstering issue: Witth one server all works fine (we have some endpoints with same creditians) all endpoints reinging well. But at 2 servers we hawe problem with this- call ringing only at one endpoint. We use Database for USRLOC module modparam("usrloc", "db_url", DBURL) modparam("usrloc", "db_mode", 3) modparam("usrloc", "use_domain", MULTIDOMAIN) As i think it mean al connections to servers ives at database. We have one database for 2 servers and this is means it only one table LOCATION for its. The second problen id that when loadbalanser sends bye to kamailio from the outside- bye is not recieves to endpoint. It say that no transaction with this CallID. I think it is because transaction goues through another kamailio and kamiaio that recieves BYE does not know about it transaction. So my first qestion- Does anybody have some information about loafd balansiong between kamailios? And second question - how to resolve issue with LOCATION table? Thanks
