Hello, can someone let me know the reason that the location table does not get updated? Out of 15 extension only a few registered phones details get updated in this table and the rest are not. But I can see all the extension in Kamailio when I run kamctl ul show --brief. Thank you, Arun

Hello, I am running a kamailio server with SIPS over TLS. Now I have to connect an android based SIP client to server. The SIP client has no support for SIPS over TLS. But it can run SIP over TLS. First I want to know the difference between the two ?? Secondly how can I make my server accept SIP connection over TLS ? Thanks. Location table not getting updated

Hello, can someone let me know what could be the reason that the location table in the kamailiio db does not get updated? There are some extensions that I can see in the location table but not others, but I am still able to make extension to extension calls to all extensions. This is a multi domain set up. xmlops & XPath question

Hello, I don't know a lot about XML or XPath, so I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm trying to parse out 'Event: dialog' state notifications from NOTIFYs using xmlops. When I upload the above XML body to various online XPath validation tools and try my expressions, they work fine. Any ideas as to what I'm missing? Do I need to indicate the namespace in the XPath expression somehow? If so, how do I do it? Hi, I am trying to append new field in SDP and I need to append new line but I don't know how. I tried to google for solution but I didn't find anything. I want to route my RTP and RTCP packet to port 5060 (this is for development of my school project, I know that in the context of correct SIP this has no sense but this is only experimental). Proper way to make Asterisk recognize SIP trunk of incoming INVITE when IP is not available

I am currently preparing a kamailio-asterisk combination. The asterisk installation uses realtime for SIP. The kamailio configuration (attached) was based on the reference at http://kb.asipto.com/asterisk:realtime:kamailio-4.0.x-asterisk-11.3.0-astdb but has been heavily modified. Currently asterisk runs on localhost and only listens on SIP/RTP at 127.0.0.1 . Therefore, all of the SIP traffic appears to come from localhost, from the point of view of asterisk. Currently I have a model on which internal SIP phones get identified by the authentication username, and then the contact names at From: and To: get massaged to incorporate the SIP domain, in order to emulate multiple-domain support. The 'sip' table in Asterisk defines all such contacts as SIP accounts of the form name_domain.com, and the SIP phones are configured to use 'name' as authentication username for domain 'domain.com'. However, SIP providers that register on the server with authentication names are left with their original names, since in the model, SIP trunks are available to all domains. Now I have to add support for SIP providers which are to be authorized on the basis of IP only. Apparently, the permissions.so (WITH_IPAUTH) is made for just this purpose, so I enabled it. After authentication, I need to route the INVITE to asterisk, and asterisk must somehow match the account for the SIP trunk from the available information on the INVITE request. In particular, 042294440 appears as the value that ends up as $fU (From: username) while being processed in kamailio. If I pass the SIP packet as-is to asterisk, asterisk first tries to match by the value of $fU, which obviously fails to match the trunk name. It then tries to match by incoming IP, which also fails because asterisk received this packet from 127.0.0.1 . Finally, asterisk sort of matches to the first record in the sip table, which is *not* the SIP account for this trunk, but some other random account. I have a partial solution that uses sqlops to make a query to the sip table, using the $si (source IP) and reads the trunk name in order to replace $fU. This works, as now $fU will have the trunk name and asterisk will now recognize the intended SIP account for the trunk. However, this has the unfortunate side effect of throwing out the Caller-ID information. What is the standard/proper way to deal with this situation? Is there a well-known way to make Asterisk match the trunk name, without overwriting the Caller-ID information? Before you ask, requesting the provider to modify its INVITEs is not an option. I believe there is a standard way to deal with this, since this scenario should also arise with a kamailio that faces the internet, and relays INVITEs (after authentication) to an asterisk in a local network. As far as I can tell, the fact that in my case the 'local network' is localhost should be irrelevant.

HI All/ Daniel, According to the recommendation I have migrated my Kamailio 4.1.2 to the Kamailio 4.1.3. But very frequent crashes are coming in Kamailio 4.1.3 which was not coming on the 4.1.2. Hi, I have just started using Kamalio and We are using it for a VOIP app that I am trying to build. Here are the things that i have done 1. I have setup kamalio server 2. I could get it running using linphone app 3. I could add users using kamctl command Since I am building a smartphone app I want to register users remotely from the phone. I did check up the XML RPC documentation and it doesn't talk about apis to add users and a lot of other functionalities that are present on kamctl commandline tool. Hi, I'm looking for a solution to limit the number of call initiations or OPTIONS packets or REGISTER packets per user. Neither pike, nor pipelimit or ratelimit give me the possibility to do this. Hi Daniel, Yes I agree with you that kamailio is not involved in the rtp handling and forwarding but RTP Proxy does this. So I have mentioned that when my call is established then my RTP passes through the RTPProxy. The issue is that RTP is coming proper at UAC Side so no Voice Problem but may be RTP is not coming good at Phone Side that is why voice is bad at Phone SIde. Please see again my network. SIP UAC--------->Kamailio+RTPProxy------>SIP Server------->Phone And Kamailio and RTPProxy are on same machine and load is not high only one call is enough to produce this issue. It seems that this issue is with RTPProxy. Please anyone can provide me some settings or inputs on this issue. I can provide more information if required. Hello, I have Kamailio with websocket module and I want to connect Asterisk as media server. I'm trying to route calls from web JsSIP users to non-web users I would like to ask how can I implement it? Can i use the rtpproxy-ng Module and here setup IP of Asterisk? BLF issue with Kamailio behind NAT

Hello All, I have an integration with Kamailio and FusionPBX (Freeswitch) working great but I been trying to troubleshoot a BLF issue with Kamailio where the BLF seems to only work when Kamailio is on a Public IP rather than behind NAT. The BLF works fine when we register directly with Freeswitch either on a Public IP or behind NAT. Both Kamailio and FusionPBX (Freeswitch) are behind pfSense firewall on private IPs and registrations, Inbound and Outbound Calls etc are working fine. Just this BLF issue giving me some grief. The phone in question is a Yealink T20. HI All/ Daniel, We are using the Kamailio+ RTPProxy as a SIP and RTP Proxy to call the Phones. Our setup is like below: SIP UAC--------->Kamailio+RTPProxy------>SIP Server------->Phone Now when we call from UAC to Phone then voice is coming good at the UAC side. But we receive the bad voice at the Phone side the Voice is breaking and hardly audible. Can anybody faced this problem. Please suggest me any solution if any. Adding dialogs to a profile in a failure_route

Hi, Am I not allowed to call dlg_manage() and add a dialog to a profile inside a request_route that is called out of a failure_route? The sequence of events is like this: 1. INVITE ----------------> 2. <---------- 302 redirect 3. ACK -------------------> 4. INVITE (new branch) ---> It's in #4 that I add the dialog to a profile and call dlg_manage(). There's a slight ambiguity because I am calling in a request_route, but the request_route is really called from a failure_route that catches the 302. It contains common logic that is used in both #1 and #4. So, the message being processed is 302, but the execution context is request_route. The docs say that dlg_manage() can be used in a request_route, and that set_dlg_profile() can be called from request/branch/reply/failure routes. But, I suppose it's logical that dlg_manage() ought to operate on the initial dialog-opening request. However, since the 302 is part of the same transaction as the initial INVITE, I would think that's okay. Is it? Anyway, I get these messages a lot: Apr 28 17:41:04 p01 /usr/local/sbin/kamailio[8581]: CRITICAL: dialog [dlg_profile.c:444]: set_dlg_profile(): BUG - dialog not found in a non REQUEST route (1) Apr 28 17:41:04 p02 /usr/local/sbin/kamailio[8581]: ERROR: dialog [dialog.c:800]: w_set_dlg_profile(): failed to set profile At no point am I actually calling set_dlg_profile() outside of a request_route, but the request_route might be called from a failure_route. So, the question is, am I doing something wrong? What's the best way to accommodate this scenario? I don't know if I want to track the dialog or add it to a profile until after I get the 302. Need an explanation of the contents of the LCR gw_uri_avp for replacement I am making to some of the functionality of the LCR module

Hi I am working on replacing the functionality of the load_gws LCR function call in our application. I have found you can overwrite the contents of the gw_uri_avp (default: $avp(i:709)) substitute this function call. However I am a bit unclear about what goes in this avp. I was wondering if any one knew of a place I could find this information. The contents of the avp is an list whose entries look something like this :"2|1|0|||258722358||5060||1|1". The values separated by the | are likely values from the database, and some of them are obvious (like the port and the prefix), but others are not. In particular the longer number baffles me, it's not the ip of the gateway from the lcr_gw table, unless it is but has been altered in some way. Hello all, I want to know that is it possible to connect clients to kamailio server in TLS and Non-TLS mode simultaneously ?? I believe I will have to add both ports (for TLS and Non-TLS ) in kamailio.cfg. Besides that what will be required if its possible ? Does Kamailio not support multiple dialog elements in NOTIFY requests of the event "dialog"?

Hi, I have a question regarding the presence + presence_dialoginfo modules of Kamailio (tested with version 3.2.x and 3.3.x). My SIP user agents are generating SIP PUBLISH requests for the event "dialog" and some of these PUBLISH requests contain multiple dialog elements in the message body. Kamailio is accepting content of these messages and storing that information in the "presentity" table of the corresponding DB. Taking a look into the presentity table is confirming that both dialog elements of the PUBLISH request are stored (as body content). However, why does the SIP NOTIFY request, which is sent to the "active_watchers" of this event, contain only one of these dialog entries -- even that the modparam "force_single_dialog" is set to "0" or (for comparison) unset (using default value "0")? Are multiple dialog entries not / no longer supported by the Kamailio "presence_dialoginfo" module? The README of this module (through all versions incl. 4.1.x) is explaining the opposite: [...] This module by default does body aggregation. [...] e.g. if the entity has multiple dialogs the pua_dialoginfo will send multiple PUBLISH), the module will parse all the received (and still valid, depending on the Expires header in the PUBLISH request) XML documents and generate a single XML document with multiple "dialog" elements. Can someone let me know how I can fetch an attribute depending on the value of two columns. For eg, in my usr_preference table I have 3 columns; username, domain, attribute.
