[Serusers] How to change Mediaproxy codec g-711a to g-729 or g-723

Yes ilker, MediaProxy relays IP packets at layer 3. It does not interpret the content of the RTP packets (like used codecs) nor does it do any conversion, it's a simple IP packet relay, which works for any type of media session negotiated between the user agents. Adrian ====== I think mediaproxy can't do transcoding. Can anyone confirm this ? Thanks, ilker

Daer All, I am trying to configure my Sip server about a month now. Still I have problem of connecting a UA to the Sip Server. Folowing two activities I have done and activity two confirm that client is trying to connect to the Sip server @ 192.248.48.38. But still user is not registering. In my sip server I have created one account for testing as follows. serctl add sip1 sip1ppp sip1(a)sip.ruh.ac.l I will also attach my ser.cfg file. hi Ilker, Pl check if you have the mysql python package installed. On Debian the name of the packet is python-mysqldb ii python-mysqldb 1.2.1c3-4 A Python interface to MySQL also make sure you have the extra fields in the radacct table. [Serusers] Beneficial Hardware For SER

Hi guys. Does SER receive greater benefit from CPU, RAM or harddrive upgrades? I have SER running on a P4 3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 7200RPM drives. I've searched through the serusers and serdev mailing lists for this information, but haven't been able to find a definitive answer. [Serusers] Forward number to IP

Is there any way I can forward all calls to 555-1212 to server a.b.c.d? No phone actually connects to my SER server, they connect to other servers. I would just like to be able to have the SER server forward calls to these servers. I can do it by editing the ser.cfg, but would like to be able to do it using the database or radius. All I have found though is it using user accounts. Any ideas? -John

Hi, all. I am looking for your expert help. I am building ser 0.8.12 on my fedora core 4, just because it is the highest version provided by iptel, while debian has all the newest goodies to .9+. In that, ser's mysql.so links to libmysqlclient.so.10 and this creates problems; *** After ser starts, it immediately shuts down when it loads auth_db.so. due to "authentication protocol" mismatch with mysql server 4.12 which is shipped with Fedora core. Is there 3rd party ser mysql module that uses libmysqlclient.so.14 somewhere? Or is it possible to compile newer verion source to work on fedora? hi all, reading acc modules README: * There is no session accounting -- OpenSER maintains no sessions. If one needs to correlate INVITEs with BYEs for example for purpose of billing, then it is better done in the entity which collects accounting information. Hi. If I send a Subscribe with event=presence.winfo, SER answers with "Unsupported document format". In my config file, I have the line "watcherinfo_notify", 1. Where is the problem? I can't find an error in my Subscribe message.
