Thank you so much, I have inherited the platform so do not know anything about the service, I will take a snapshot of the servers and upgrade them to 6.0, seems that would at least help the situation. Re 3cx, it was operating fine until very recently, so believe the issue may actually sit within 3CX and not us, as we do send all the correct authentication info .

Hello,

a general note, you should switch to a proper release and not use a “dev” version if you want to use it in production.

If you are upgrading, I would recommend picking one of the maintained versions, e.g. the latest 5.8.x or 6.0.x.

Regarding the Expires: 0 – this just indicates a de-registration. The 407 is returned from the other party because it requires a proper authentication.

Does the second REGISTER contain authentication information? It is accepted from the trace below.

We are seeking help to resolve an issue with registering devices to 3CX (All 3CX servers, have tried 8 different ones) . all the auth info including passwords etc are identical on the 3cx servers.

We use Kamailio to register mobile sim cards to 3^rd party sip servers i.e. 3CX.

We send the normal Username, server addresses and auth details but are experiencing failures with 3CX rejecting the registration and return Proxy Auth failure 407. We have noticed in the pcaps from both sides that the expire value is changing from 180 as an example to 0.

As an example In the uac reg_dump the values are :
