But that's not an URI.
Phones terminating the dialing string with '#' don't send the '#' as
part of the URI username.
'#' key becomes a "Dial" button.
And in case of DTMF, it's not an URI, and valid DTFM codes are:
0-9, #, *, A, B, C, D

Well, IMHO the reason is that key '#' appears in all the phones :)
That is one line on top your config file:

PD: Perhaps the default script should include that line?
