Maybe I was mistaken, I understood we will be able to eliminate dispatcher database/text file backend and feed updates directly into process memory (via kamctl or something). This sounds attractive as we integrate dispatcher with Hashicorp Consul service discovery. The question is if we are just sending update events when a destination comes up or goes down (which we do today), where does the initial seed come from? Kamailio will start up with no destinations. Perhaps a dispatcher on-startup API call param would be possible?

Hello,

dispatcher loads the records in memory, either from database or a text file. Do you refer to my remark of having the ability to add/remove records in memory via RPC commands without triggering a reload?

Cheers,
Daniel

Great presentation, Daniel!
I'm curious about dispatcher being able to load destination lists directly in memory without DB. Is there more info about this feature somewhere? How will it get seeded when kamailio first starts up?

Thanks!

Hello,

later today I will join ClueCon Weekly for a discussion about what is
new for Kamailio project and the plans for the future.

ClueCon Weekly is a web video conference organized by the FreeSwitch
project team. They announced recently a revamp of the format, however, I
expect that other people can still join live if they want to listen and
ask questions, couple of ways to connect being listed at:

If joining live is no longer possible, I will post a link to the
recording and if someone has any questions following my presentation, I
can answer here.

Cheers,
Daniel
