Hello,
someone offered to host a server, he has very good bandwidth, but the machine has to be bought. Some hosting services we found have reasonable price and I wonder which option will be better? What do you think?
The server should host: - website - mailing lists - documentation wiki - documentation tutorials - eventually download section (can be hosted on sourceforge) - eventually bug tracker (can be used the one from sourceforge)

Thanks for everybody for information, we still collect offers. We are trying now to organize the things. Until the management board will be elected, we cannot decide too much.
We are at the beginning, the project has almost one week. The feedback is very good -- apart some users which I am not sure they have the whole picture -- and we will continue if SER does not change the policies very soon.

We use www.serverbeach.com for our development, mail, and web servers. If you go with serverbeach please make sure you have a backup plan. They have various plans starting at $79 per month. I'd offer the use of my bandwidth at home, but my 1 1/2 and 2 1 /12 year olds love to press the reset buttons on the server in my home office.

Hello everybody,
currently the openser.org web site is hosted by Voice-System server. It has to be moved on a separate hosting server, so that developers and contributors can have full access to it.
Are you aware of a good hosting service? It has to be a Linux/Unix server, allow ssh access, provide a good bandwidth and the price to be as much as possible.
I have opened a topic in openser forum, too, -- you can use what you like more to reply.
