We __really__ appreciate your feedback and comments and we respect your opinion that onsip.org should not require registration. Several users have asked us to remove the registration.
One of the main goals of the onsip.org effort is to provide a somewhat structured approach to mananging the massive amount of data relating to ser. We believe that requiring user registration will give us a little bit of control to keep this site from turning in to a crazy maze of information (like the voip-info.org site).
