Check ser-dev mailing list; less than a month ago there was an announcement that SRV was added to CVS HEAD version altogether with DNS cache mechanism and config file parameters managing the behaviour of both features.

Does SER support the SRV mechanism, sending a request to a URL with a SRV domain name?
Also, if the first priority destination fails due to a timeout, will it failover to the second priority?
