Hi Klaus, Haha, living in Hawaii doesn't mean I am authoritative. :) But here is my 2 cents. Hawaiian word wastes no letters. All letters are pronounced. All vowels are pronounced the same. http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Shores/6794/o-pronunciation.html. The exception is the first 'i' because of the 'okina (') in front of it. Okina (') or the glottal stop is a true consonant of the Hawaiian language. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okina. I would pronounce the first 'i' as 'i' in city. Hi! I think this is wrong - do not pronounce it in English. Kamailio is written Kama'ilio. Thus, 2 words. There is a glottal stop inbetween.
