Klaus, To answer your earlier question, Asterisk stores the registrations in a local file, using the Berkeley DB format. It's keyed on user/extension. I still think it is a bad idea to replicate REGISTER to Asterisk 4 times. Where does Asterisk store the location table? In a database?
