Hi all,
We (Xten india) released the latest version of SERAdmin V03f. please check the
release notes of latest version.
1. Introduction
1.1 Why SER Administration Application
Present SER is software, which is very tedious to work with, as we have to type each
and every command in the command line. It is not user friendly. Moreover SER is not
compatible with Microsoft Windows. Also the user cannot know about all the options of SER
on running it. To overcome all this disadvantages of SER, SERAdmin has been developed.
1.2 Where to get SER Administration Application
SER Administration Application is available for download in
http://developer.berlios.de/projects/seradmin

2. Installation
2.1 Installation Notes
Supported architectures:
-- Linux/i386 (Both Server and Client components)
-- Windows (9x,NT, XP, 2000) (for Client component only)
2.2 Requirements
- ser-0.8.10 or ser-0.8.11
- mysql
- jdk1.2
2.3 Download the package
Download all the below three files into the java root of your machine e.g. /
jdk<ver>/ bin
1. serserver_v03f.tar
2. seradmin_v03f.jar
2.4 To install the Server Module:
Linux:
1. < tar -xvzf serserver_v03f.tar >
2. export PATH=$PATH:/Seradminserver:/<Java root Path>
3. Type "installserver"
It will install the serserver component.
4. Then It will automatically starts the Serserver.
(press any key to get the command prompt)
2.5 To install the Client Module (SER Administration Application) :
1. Set the PATH to /jdk<ver>/bin in Windows
/usr/java/jdk<ver>/bin in Linux
2. Copy the file "seradmin_v03f.jar" to your system
3. unjar the file by <jar -xvf seradmin_v03f.jar>
4. To run the "SER Administration Application".
<java seradmin>
5. Then proceed the steps as "SER Administration Application" guides.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before running the client module, the server module should be started on the Linux
machine.
The objective of the SERAdminv03f is to support any linux version of ser. This latest SER
Administration Application handles ser-0.8.10 and above.
What is new?.
The "Add New user" is replaced by "Approve New user". This option is
to approve the requested user from Pending table to Subscriber.
The following commands available in this release
------------------------------------------------
Ping(uri) - Pinging a URI
Cisco_restart(uri) - Restart a Cisco Phone
arg - Arguments of SER
pwd - Present Working Directory
t_uac_dlg - Initiate a Transaction
and also we are included the option to change the SIP_DOMAIN.
