Hi all,
Please set $LOCALBASE and $SYSBASE according to your box setup before
compiling. One shouldn't need to modify any Makefile for compiling
(except snmpstats for cross compilation).
Also make sure that you have the right dev packages installed.

I had the same problem on certain systems if the mysql headers could not
be found. Needed to modify modules/mysql/Makefile on certain systems I
previously installed to include the correct path to make it work.
