Hi,
Thanks for your Reply,
I tried at least 3 times deleting & recreating the Database... always I was getting this issue.
What I observed is, the version table Query returns the data-type of
the Version as DB_STRING (2), where as, it should have been DB_INT, so
the function table_version() is returning as -1.
But the value returned by the Query (String value) is correct.. (except that the data-type.)
Database shows the correct type for the column....
mysql> desc version ;
+---------------+------------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
| Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra |
+---------------+------------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
| table_name | varchar(32) | NO | | | |
| table_version | int(10) unsigned | NO | | 0 | |
+---------------+------------------+------+-----+---------+-------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)
I locally changed so that it returns the correct value, in INTEGER.
Also this table_version function always finds the result as DB_STRING, it is not only for the xcap table, but for all the tables...

i've tried to reproduce your problem with the 1.3 branch of openser. On my
system i don't observe the error you've described. It seems that there
happens an error during the version table query (first log statement). Does
this happens all the time? Have you tried to install the DB again?
Cheers,
