RR tells the UA where future request should go, and Route tells the UA where the request that contains the Route should go...dont follow
I like to think of it this way: Record-Route is the header that tells the UAs and Proxies "hey if you are going to send future requests make sure you send them here"....while the Route Header is populated by the UAs and Proxies in the actual future request to guide the SIP message through the proper path.
