I just installed openser. I also noticed this: while the application expects ser.cfg. openser calls the config file openser.cfg.
Bogdan is it possible to correct this inside the package on the openser web site?
Cheers

Hi Andréa,
it will very helpful if you can post the error (from syslog) generated by openser at startup. NOTE: not the one on the console "PID file /var/run/openser.pid does notexist -- SER start failed" (generated by openserctl), but the from syslog, generated by openser.

regarding, the error generated by 'openserctl start'
- it mighr be
because it failes to find the config file (look into the log for errors)
- if so, you should try to rename the config file (
if from packages /etc/openser/openser.cfg in /etc/openser/ser.cfg;
I already have renamed this file. But the error is generated again. =/
