I was trying to follow the instructions in:

where it says:
"To install support for a MySQL database you will need to download the package
ser-mysql, which is available from the same download
location that you retrieved SER. "
Well, I was to lazy to create a separate ser-mysql package for solaris &
freebsd :-)
