I also suggest to set the tcp timeout timers to 1-2 seconds (the default 10seconds is too much)

Once I start getting these, proxy will become pretty much un-usable, I have to restart it.
seems that openser couldn't open the tcp connection -- was the case there is a NAT in between proxy and phone? Was the phone still plugged to the network?
You should upgrade to at least 1.3.x (recommended now is 1.4.0). There were updates to this part of code and 1.2.0 won't be maintained that closely in the future.
