Same as I had on the server, Ran Redhat .. had to download the tarball,
install it .. update /etc/ld.conf .. to get it to work.

Im not sure, but I think you dont have the mysql-client stuff
installed.. had a simluar problem a couple of weeks ago.
So, install mysql-client.. etc. .and try again

rpm -qa | grep MySQL-*
MySQL-client ....
etc ...
