Dispatcher reload in Kamailio 3.1

Hi, I’m doing algorithm 4.

I will check to see what happens, for this case the command should be enabled.

It used to work fine with 3.0.4.  I’d like to move to 10 but if I have to restart this might not be an option.

Restart will be required only for algorithm 10, it may change in the future, but this version keeps some shortcuts internally between destination IP addresses and active calls sent to that IP, which will require more work to make it safe if one address disappears or new are added.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi, after adding another dispatcher destination I tried to reload my dispatcher but got the following:

[root@kam-3-1-s1 kamailio]# kamctl dispatcher reload

500 No reload support for call load dispatching

Other kamctl dispatcher commands work so am I missing something?

are you doing call load based load balancing? Algorithm 10:
http://kamailio.org/docs/modules/stable/modules_k/dispatcher.html#id2565928

If yes, then you have to restart kamailio, because a new destination set can mess up relation between active calls and destination addresses. If you are not using this algorithm, maybe some check to detect usage of this algorithm has some leak.

Daniel
