Are there any manuals to install kamailio on Sun Machines?
No. [..]
There exists notes about compiling an old version on various solaris flavours:
http://www.kamailio.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/install:configure-install-solaris- sparc
http://sites.google.com/site/muhammadakl/OpenSER-getting-started-on- Solaris10.pdf?attredirects=0
This should at least give you some hints about the necessary dependencies for the different modules.
By the way, Can anybody tell me if the performance and capacity of kamailio on the solaris is better than linux?
I doubt that anyone ran performance tests on the same hardware on both linux and solaris.
I'm also not aware of such a comparion that is available in public. In some server benchmarks i'm aware of the situation was that linux performed a bit better. But this depends a lot on your specific situation, the used database, network hardware etc.. And normally you'll not operate your setup that close to the maximum limit, because of redundancy and so on. So i don't think that you'll run into performance problems because of the usage of solaris.
