Grigory,
I think what you are asking is the feature primarily implemented in the
phones. For example, some phones allow central configuration via bootp or
http protocols (i.e. Cisco, Pingtel). They can connect to a central
administration server and provision themselves by grabbing config file from
the server based on MAC address and/or other params. The config file may
contain directory entries for phones (i.e. company directory, etc). I don't
believe SER will help you with this.

sorry, i have really problems to communicate with my english :-(
can anybody russian or german here ? ;-)
i mean, i want to make this directory accessible at UACs of my users.
but i found no sip phone wich can get the number list from a central
place like sip-registrar or another server.
for example, i have a 3com hardphone for me (now, really)
i push the some buttons and can see all users of the 3com nbx of my company
but 3com sucks, can i do the same (access to directory) with ser?

Basically its a names to number map, just like a normal telephone
directory where companies get assigned numbers, which they change and
you search by company name.
If the UAC was to get the number, that facility would need to be built
into the UAC, but SIp does allow you to locate the person on other
proxies if the call cannot be answered by you.

i search for one.
example:
you have 20 users on your ser,
these users are stupid and they can't memorize the numbers of another
ser-users.
solution:
every user creates an own address book with numbers of anoter users
problem: if the ser-admin changes the number of any user, all users
must change it too
better:
create a central phone book on ser-server and the UACs of users get
the numberlist from here.
is it possible?
