Hi again,
You can reduce the mysql connections with reducing how many children you
are running by useing the children=something variable.
But I personally doubt that this will solve your problem. and, if it
does then you must be aware that if somebody connectes a few times to
your webserver, your server might as well go down.

Hi,
I checked my logs and I did not find any proper reason for my crash. Actually
only after installing SER my webserver started crashing and this is the third
time in this week. If I did not start SER, things are fine. So please tell me
how can I reduce connections to Mysql from SER?
I find one post in mailing asking to change config.c in postgres.so but I did
not load that module in ser.cfg itself.
Any help will be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks,
Manoj

Hi Manoj,
I might be wrong, but this does NOT sound like a problem cuased by Ser
and Mysql.
I would advice you to check the system logs, and check if there is some
logical reason there.

Hi All,
I installed SER 0.9.4 and I was able to make and receive calls. SER and Mysql
run on the same unix box which is located at some other place and which also
runs a webserver. After starting ser everything goes fine but after sometime
the whole system goes down and I was not even able to connect to unix box using
SSH or to any web page of that webserver. Does the Number of connections made
by SER to Mysql is causing the problem or is there anything wrong with my SER
configuration and Mysql? If Number of connections is the problem then please
tell me what must I do to reduce the number of connections to Mysql from SER.
Also please tell me if there is any new Mysql.so module or any other module
which fixes this.
Thanks,
Manoj
